I pull into the drive way and turn off my engine, letting the battery continue to fill the car with music.

"Wow, it looks exactly the same as I remembered it," Emillee says awestruck, she ducks her head to get a better view through the windshield and looks out her passenger window.

"Good to be home?"

"Yeah sure. I guess so. Is my room still here?"

"You mean, my room?"

"You took my room?" Emillee crosses her arms and leans against the car window.

"Well. You moved out to college. Mom and I switched our rooms so I get the better room and you get my small guest room," I laugh. It was the first thing I did with Mom in a long time. It was almost like a bonding moment that we had, letting me get the better room. I was the only kid in the house and I wasn't quite sure about leaving to college immediately, regardless of the amount of scholarships I have wrangled up through out high school. I couldn't leave my mom in this big of a house all by herself. My line of work was out of state, but I was choosing to stay local, maybe even to take my classes online.

"Hmph," Emillee unbuckles her seat belt and gets out of my car, slamming my door. She breaks me from my thoughts. I follow with her.

"So did you bring bags or something? How long are you staying?" I ask Emillee, while I close my car door, looking over the top of the car at her.

"Bridget let me drop off my luggage at the front door and then she took me to Chompy's, saying that you basically live there," Emillee says pointing to her bags on the porch, I turn my head to see four bags of luggage. She might as well just live here again.

Emillee's eyes trail to the back of my car.

"Dillweed!" She screams, scrambling from the passenger side of the car to get to Dylan coming out of his vehicle parked behind mine.

I still sit there watching the two of them reunite as if they were kids again. This time Dylan was taller than her and he picks her up and spins her around. It's honestly disgusting to see how much she loves Dylan as a little brother. Like come on, gross. Yeah, he was like a brother to the both of us growing up, but I swear he turned into a complete ass by the time we entered high school.

"How are you, kiddo?" she ruffles Dylan's hair, excitedly.

"Kiddo? Have you seen me? I'm not a kid anymore, baby," Dylan tries to give Emillee a seductive look.

"Ew. Gross. I'm like your sister, you nasty," she pushes him back, trying to give the nickname back to him. He sticks his tongue out at her, and she does the same.

Just because he's seen as one of the hottest guys in school doesn't mean he's one of the hottest guys outside of school. Proof given from Emillee's reaction. I start laughing at my own remark.

"Ladies, shall we take this inside?" I gesture to the door. They both nod their head in return. I begin walking up the steps when my back pocket buzzes.

Josh: Hey it's Josh, idk if you have my number. Daniel blew me off so, can we hang?

I text him back my address, and slide my phone back into my pocket as I open the front door.

"Home, sweet, home," Dylan pushes passed me to walk into the door, waving his arms around.

"What the hell?" I move to the side of the door, letting Emillee in, glaring at Dylan.

"Hey, I basically grew up in here too," Dylan furrows his brows.

"He has a point," Emillee sets her bags down around the couch, flopping down into the cushions.
