Everything Was A Lie

2nd day awake in the kingdom

I wake up and my throat is dry and my leg hurts badly now. I wince from the pain in my shoulder. The door opens and I jump forgetting they won't hurt me. My heart flutters and my breathing heavies.
The man looks less intimidating then Richard and he wears a gigantic smile on his face. He has black hair pulled into a tight bun and he's kinda....hefty. His smile is real and warm. Making me realize how cold Richard's smile was. The room is silent until he finally says something.
"Hey I'm Jerry and I was sent to help you come meet The King." He says.
"Well I can't walk." I say.
My voice is dry like sand. It's low and he shows a face of concern.
"I'll get a wheelchair!" He suggests.
"I need to change and brush my hair."
"Nonsense the King will love you as you are!"
I become flustered and look down at my feet. He leaves the room and returns a minute later with a wheelchair. My heart pounds out of my chest. He walks over and picks me up causing me to groan in pain.
"I'm sorry." He says setting me in the wheelchair. He grabs a blanket and covers my legs.
"I hope I didn't hurt you too bad." He says.
"Nope I'm okay." I say smiling at him.
He smiles and pushes me out of the room.

The outside air hits me in the face and the smell of dirt fills my nose and I look at Jerry smiling so big his face looks like it's ready to break.
"The smell never gets old here." He whispers.
People starts greeting Jerry and I take it, he's very liked here. Their greetings come short but sweet. I see Richard and look away from him. Jerry pushes me to a giant auditorium looking building.  After pushing me through the hall and turning a corner I see it. A tiger and a dark skinned man. He has long dreads and a smile on his face. My throats goes dry staring at the man. My heart thumps faster in fear. The man wears a sincere smile.
"Welcome to the Kingdom."
