"Sit that was....."
"Mean I know!" I say cutting Benjamin off aggressively.
"You love her."
"No, not anymore. I love her like as I love my people. Just as my children."
"Keep lying to yourself." Jerry snickers rolling his eyes.
A commotion outside catches all of our attention. People yell and they sound...... upset. We rush outside and there she is. Blood pours from her head and she's covered in blood. Richard is holding her pale lifeless body. My whole stomach churns at the sight.
She's dead. Is my only thought.
Richard moves through the people, near me. Her small, frail hand holds a piece of paper and I reach forward and pull it from her grasp. "She's still alive, sir." Richard says sounding upset. "Take her to the infirmary and I'll meet you there." I say.
"Sorry my people, please. I'll let you know when she's okay." I say fake smiling.

They stitched her up and they dismissed everyone but me. They said I could stay by her side as long as I needed/wanted. Her hollow face is still beautiful as ever. Her pale face is framed by her pitch black hair. They washed and redressed her in one of my V necks but no pants. They said: "No more pressure should be added near her lungs or she may stop breathing." I gently reach out and take her hand.
"Elizabeth, I hardly know you and yet I feel like I've known you for my whole life. The day I saw your face and heard you sweeter then sugar voice, I knew that I had to have you. Your smiles makes me warm. Your laugh makes my knees weak and makes my heart skip a beat. But at first I wouldn't have admitted I was in love too. I never believed in love at first sight till I met you about 2 months ago. If I could go back and apologize and kiss you earlier today, I would. I would grab you and kiss your soft pink lips, why do I feel like you getting hurt is MY fault? It is. There's a 70% chance you won't ever wake up again. But I'm clinging to that 30% chance." I say.
I lean forward and kiss her lips. The electricity that shoots through our lip makes me jump. My heart burns and beats faster then the racing in my mind. My breathing hitches and I pull away hovering above her soft pink lips. A soft voice breaks the silence.
"I love you too."
