When I wake up I hear talking outside my room and immediately recognize the voice as Carol and hop up opening my door. I see Carol and she turns around looking at me. "Elizabeth?" Carol asks. I nod wildly and throw myself into her arms. She squeezes me tightly and I hear her sniffle. "I honestly thought I'd never see you again." She says. "Me either. I missed you guys so much." I say.
"Rick thinks you're dead."
"I was close almost 3 weeks ago. I was shot and winded up drifting to sleep in a car waiting for whatever's was gonna happen. Until King Ezekiel's men found me."
"I heard. Morgan filled me in."
"Speaking of which you have to start working today." Morgan cuts in.
I nod and pull away from Carol and she's got tears running down her face.
"I'll be home later." I say as Morgan leads me out of the house. "You'll start with the garden, or helping with laundry." Morgan says.
"Ew I definitely wanna work in the garden."
He laughs and shakes his head. I follow him till we get to the garden where King Ezekiel was yesterday "This is Benjamin he'll be helping you with starting out." Morgan says pushing me forward. He smiles and offers me a hand and I take it shaking it. "So you like gardening?" He asks.
"Yeah I used to do it in the town I lived in."
"Must of been harsh having to watch it go down in flames. Oh shit, I'm sorry."
"It's okay, t didn't burn down, it..... Well I left. The people there, Their tactic was to run away from danger, and my best friend Noah got killed because of cowardice people." I explain.
"Wow." Is all he can respond.
"Can we get started?" I ask kinda getting impatient.
"Of course!" He says walking away making me follow.

I was assigned weed pulling. The dirt makes its way under my fingernails and covers my hands. After what seems like mere minutes I hear a voice startle me from behind. "So the name's Elizabeth?"
Whirling around I see King Ezekiel, Shiva and Benjamin standing there. King Ezekiel has a triumphant smile plastered on his dark face. "Why do you care?" I shoot.
"I wanna know all my subjects' names."
"Why?"
You don't trust me?"
"No, because this, ALL of this, it's a lie! These people aren't and won't be prepared for what happens if this place, goes up in flames! They won't know what to do and they'll look to you for guidance, and they'll be disappointed to find you're no better then the rest of us!"
"This place is stable."
"That's what Rick said about our camp, The CDC, That goddamn farm, and that fucking prison! But guess what!? This is reality and bad shit happens! But when it does some people don't come back!"
All of my little crush is completely over taken with hatred killing every little ounce of love or whatever for this man dies inside my heart. My mind immediately reminds me, all my friends, Beth, Zach, Patrick, Lizzie, and even Randall, they're dead and it's because, there is NO happy endings in the apocalypse. A warm stream crosses my face and I reach up and wipe it away. Tears are streaking down my face at an alarming rate. I stand grabbing the trash can I was dumping weeds into and walk away leaving them standing there dumbfounded by my little speech. I wasn't gonna quit working until the lunch bell sounded and immediately bound to Morgan's house. I come inside and the house is empty. No Morgan and no Carol. My heart fills with sadness. I was so rude, but I had a right I was upset. He is filling these people's heads full of shit and they're believing it too! This is the Governor all over again. I walk to the bathroom and start to wash my hands, I'm so distracted by washing my hands I don't notice Richard in the doorway. "Hey feisty Morgan asked for you to go on a run with us and what do you know, King Ezekiel agreed!" He says.
I jump and water splashes on him. He cries out in surprise and laughs. "Guess that makes you special. King Ezekiel doesn't say "Yes" to anyone about runs." He laughs.
