Months later, the case had cooled down. Divot is barely doing anything, apparently. But the case was still going and Magnus was still on guard. As a result, Pit did not showed any signs of being paranoid.
Being on Dark's side, he felt secure; safe, relieved. Pit had calmed down over the months and his fears for Divot had subsided. Although, it was still in the back of his mind; burried under the positive side. He did not even mind anyways, he had better things to do.
Pit and Dark made a strong connection with each other over the months. Pit was more clingy to him and Dark was more open; now that he was no longer a stranger who walked in a random house, looking for shelter from the rain. Their bond was so strong they could not even walk away from each other. Pit's reasons are because he does not want to break down to the point he falls in a hospital, and Dark's; he wants to protect Pit, similar to Pit's reason.
The two where sitting on the couch, snuggled up together. Pit smiled as he felt the warmth of Dark.
"Hey, Dark?"
Dark looked down at him and pulled him closer.
"Yes, Pit?"
"Do you think Divot gave up?"
"I'm pretty sure he did, Pit. Don't overwhelm yourself with that."
"Thank you."
Pit's head now rested on Dark's chest. Dark leaned to his side to lay down on the couch, making Pit shift position on top. The two looked at each other, smiled and gave each other a quick peek on the lips. With a last sigh, the two fell asleep on the same spot.
