Pit and Dark made eye contact. Pit felt numb and Dark was frozen in place. Magnus could not believe it himself either. He picked Pit off the ground and slowly paced back.
"Pit..."
The two never broke eye contact. Pit's eyes were drenched in tears while Dark's were full of terror. The longer they looked, the faster they lose it. Dark slowly stood straight up and smiled. Pit's mouth was shaking making the teeth hit each other.
"D-Dark... W-Who are... you..."
Dark said nothing but smiled even wider. Magnus let go of Pit and pointed the gun towards him, the other cops followed his lead. A chuckle echoed in the spot.
"...heheh..."
The silence made the chuckle even louder.
"Ehehehe!"
Dark was at the point he could no longer hide it. He stumbled backwards and looked up in the sky, releasing his inner roar of laughter.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
Pit was now pale and shocked. He could no longer feel anything but fear. It made him sick, almost to pass out. The laughter even scared Magnus and the others.
Dark finished laughing and swallowed some air. He looked back at Pit with an expression that scared him by now.
It was terrifying.
"D-Don't you know ME, Pit?! Ehehe! W-What a JOKE!"
His voice was now like a mad scientist: high pitched and broken by chuckles, along with emphasis in some words. Pit stood frozen in place. His mind was blank; blocked. He could not speak anymore.
"EheAHAH I-I am that kid who was YOUR FRIEND back in school! Ehehe- The one who killed those MEAN TEACHERS and BULLIES! D-Don't you REMEMBER?! 'Cuz I DO! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
'No... N-No... This can't be happening-'
"D-Divot... Dark, please... L-Listen to me..."
Pit walked towards Dark, but Magnus held him back.
"Pit, stand back! He's dangerous!"
Pit did not listen and pushed Magnus's hand away. He got closer to Dark, his face wet in tears.
