Chapter 7
Bruno's P.O.V.
I honestly didn't remember anything from last night. I woke up on the couch with the sun poring through a window. I groaned and put the pillow from the couch over my face. My head started throbbing so that didn't help. I laid there for a few minutes trying to see if the pain would go away. It didn't. I got the idea to go find some aspirin. I sat up and looked around squinting from the sun. There was a coffee table in front of me and a fire place behind that. There were also two other chairs in the room, one had my jacket and hat on it. Besides me there was a trash can which seemed fairly close to me. "What the hell happened last night?" I whispered holding my forehead.
"You got drunk off your ass." A chuckle and a semi-familiar voice sang. I jumped when Adrienne said that and now she was standing in front of me.
"Damn, you scared me."
"You threw up in my bushes." She said laughing.
"Did I really? I'm really sorry." I was embarrassed now not remembering that part of the night.
"Don't worry about it, seriously. I've seen worse." She extended her hand with a bottle of aspirin and a bottle of water in the other.
"Thanks." I took the aspirin and took a sip of the water. I looked her over while I drank my water. She was wearing a short blue knee length dress."Where are you going dressed like that?"
She rolled her eyes before speaking.
"I have my friend's wedding today at the hotel you're staying at. Well, her reception anyways."
"Oh wow that's really cool."
"I guess. I just really hate this dress and I'm not really a wedding person."
"I'm sure you'll have fun."
She didn't respond she walked into the kitchen.
"Do you want something to eat?" She asked me.
I got up and walked into the kitchen taking a seat on a bar stool.
"Sure."
"I have cereal, cereal, and cereal. What would you like?" She asked smiling.
"I think I'll have the cereal. " I responded laughing. She got out the milk and Captain Crunch along with two bowls and two spoons.
"There is one thing I would like."I said to her.
"What's that?" She responded while pouring cereal into the bowl.
"Maybe a tooth and tooth paste?"
She smiled at me and laughed. " Come with me."
She led me to the bathroom and got me an extra tooth brush.
"The tooth paste is in the top drawer. Yell if you need anything." She walked away closing the door to the bathroom behind her.
I got out the tooth paste where she said it would be. I brushed my teeth, once I was done I tried to puff the fro in a few flat spots. I just shrugged and decided I could just wear my hat. I left the bathroom and went back into the kitchen. She was on her iPad eating her cereal. I joined her and ate with her.
"Thanks, for the toothbrush." I said shoveling a spoonful of cereal in my mouth.
"You're welcome. Once you're done eating we should get going. I have to still go get my car. It's still at the hotel."
"What time is it?"
"8:45. I have to go to a hair salon to get ready for this wedding."
"Yea I'm sure the guys are probably worried about me."
"Dre was here this morning but left around 7:30, something about Phil calling him I don't remember I was half asleep." She laughed.
"He spent the night? Wow. I don't really remember anything." I said still confused and trying to remember the night.
"I'm going to go get my bag and then we can go. Just put your bowl in the sink, I'll take care of it later." She said while putting her bowl into the sink. She left the room and I finished my cereal and put the bowl in the sink like she said. I then put on my converse, jacket, and fedora.
"Ready to go?" She asked now returned with her bag and a jacket on.
"Yup."
We walked outside locking the door behind us. I put my hands in my jacket pockets because it's so cold out. We then began to walk towards the hotel. During our walk we talked about last night.
"Do you remember anything from last night?" She asked me.
I shook my head. "I remember our date and going to the club but after our 3rd drink, no, not so much.
"So you don't remember anything?"
"No."
"Okay."
We walked a few more feet in silence. I broke it finally.
"Why? Did I say something?"
"You were drunk it doesn't matter."
"I want to know." I stopped walking so she would tell me.
"Fine." She turned around to face me. "You wanted to know how you were going to get me back to LA with you."
"And what did you say?"
"I shocked honestly. I didn't really say anything."
We then started walking again.
"So how about it? You come back to LA with me."
"Bruno, you can't be serious."
"But I am. It seems like something I would say. I see a future with us, why have it end?"
"I can't just uproot my life, I have a job here and my parents are here, even if I don't always see them...They are still here though."
We were now nearing the parking lot and her car was in front of us.
"Maybe this is all happening to fast." She said quietly.
"Well you have until tonight to tell me an answer. The bus leaves at midnight, with or without you." I took her hand in mine and pressed me lips against it. "Goodbye Adrienne, thank you for an awesome date and taking care of me last night. I flashed a smile, turned on my heal and walked towards the entrance of the hotel. I hope she goes with me.
