Dawns POV
I sat on my bed thinking about how I had hurt May, how she probably heard my disgraceful conversation with the others. With a sigh I got up and walked out of my room before heading over to Mays. I stood in front of her red door and knocked quietly.

"May, I know you heard what we were talking about before but we-I didn't mean it" I sighed as I knew what I had send before was wrong, I should have trusted in her. "May?" I questioned before opening her door slightly and looking in.

"Oh no" I said as I saw the room empty, the chilled night air blowing in through the window. I rushed in and looked around, finding a note left on her bed. I ran down the stair as I looked for the girls as fear filled my veins.

"Misty! Leaf! Where are you?!" I yelled as tears streamed down my face, fumbling with my communicate I tried calling May but it wouldn't get through.

"Dawn what's wrong?!" Misty yelled as she ran over to me, Leaf close behind.

"May... She's, i-it's all my fault" I whimpered as I fell to the floor, a strong breeze picking up around us.

"What do you mean?" Misty asked concerned as she looked up to where Mays room is, her hair whipping around her face as the wind got heavier.

"What happened to May?!" Leaf tried asking above the wind but it was barely audible.

"Dawn calm down!" Another voice was heard before everything went black.

Gary's POV
Paul put his illusion magic to use once we arrived at the girls, the black void surrounding us nothing but a way to compress Dawns powers.

"Guys?" Leaf asked as she looked at us, shock and hurt in her eyes.

"Look, we're here to help for once," Paul said as he made his way over to Dawn, placing a hand on her head as he crouched down.

"You're okay" he smiled before pulling her into a hug.

"I'm sorry" she whimpered into his shirt as the void around us disappeared and we were in the girls home.

"What happened?" Ash asked as he stood by Misty worriedly.

"May" she whispered as she looked up.

"What about her?" Drew asked as he pushed past us to crouch down beside us.

"She... She went after the organisation herself" Dawn said before handing the note to Drew.

"In her condition? She can barely move" Leaf said looking at me, frightened of what might happen.

"Has already died once today" Ash said earning a hit by an annoyed Misth and her mallet.

"What did the note say?" I asked as I grabbed Leafs hand for support.

"Hey girls,
I know you will be mad at me after you read this but I have cause enough trouble as is. I have decided to take on the last chance of this mission going right, it isn't fair you have to suffer for what I have caused. I know that the boys are probably with you by now as I sent out a distressed call to them before I started writing this. I will succeed and keep everyone safe, we're sisters after all. Oh and Drew... Always smile, it suits you XxX" Drew read with a shaken voice as he looked at the girls confused.

"What does she mean she's gonna finish this?" I asked wanting to know the answer.

"S-she can't be s-serious" Leaf said as she trembled.

"That move, s-she wouldn't dare" Misty denied the writing on the piece of paper.

"What?" Ash looked at them worried.

"Our b-boss told us that i-if anything went... Wrong in a m-mission, we were to use a special move called..." Misty began as tears rolled down her eyes. She looked over to us all before colliding her tear stained face with Ashes chest.

"What was it?" Drew asked unable to take the suspense any more.

"Check mate"
