Mays POV
"Geeze, couldn't they have been a bit more professional?" Dawn asked when we heard the sounds of our sisters shouting voices.
"We better hurry, they know that I'm missing too," I laugh as I start to walk ahead of her.
"May... I'm sorry," I stop dead when I heard Dawn whisper those words. "I know you heard what I said and I- I," I tried to look at one of my family members who stood still, hands clenched to her side as she whimpered.
"Dawn it's okay," I smiled as I began to reach out to her.
"Its my fault!" she squatted my hand away as she cried out in pain.
"No... its not," I look at her with dead eyes.
"But May, if I didn't-"
"We all knew that the mission would end with all of us here." I wouldn't let her believe she was the one at fault. "It's not your fault, it's not mine... we all decided that we would do this." I looked at her, a sad smile spreading across my lips.
"You're right, let's finish this." Dawn pumped her fists, ready.
"Not so fast." Another voice intervened getting on my last nerve.
"Oh what now, can't you see we're having a ...m-moment?" I looked over to find two figure standing before us, looking heartbroken to say the least.
"Drew?"
"Paul?"
"You four are idiots." I watched as Drew inhaled deep breaths, his piercing eyes staring me down.
"What the hell are you guys doing here?!" Dawn yelled but I couldn't look away. I felt a tear roll down my cheek as I saw the pain in his eyes.
"You could have gotten yourselves killed," Paul retorted as he stepped closer to Dawn.
"We're completing a mission, out of all people I thought you would be able to understand!" Dawn yelled louder than before.
"What is that supposed to mean?!" Paul lost his cool demeanor. Dawn had started to lose control again, she only does around Paul. The wind started whipping around us as tears started to come through.
"Well for one thing, you had-"
"Dawn!" I called out to her grabbing her wrist. "That's enough." The winds stopped.
"Let us help you," Drew spoke up for the first, my heart skipping a beat as he did.
"Drew," I didn't want their help, I didn't want to get them into trouble.
"Look-" he began to walk over to us as he spoke. "There is one main powerhouse of this facility, a fourth main powerhouse in the center of the other three." I watched him move closer towards us, hoping he would reach out to me; he never did.
"May, you and Ash will hit the main circuit, Dawn and Misty will take care of the west outer circuit, Paul and Leaf will take out the North outer circuit, leaving Gary and I to take care of the South outer circuit." I watched him closely, his words finally sinking into my mind once he finished.
"Wait why can't I-" I tried to retaliate but he wouldn't let me.
"You're going to meet Ash here," he pulled a map out from his pocket and showed me where I was to meet my partner in crime.
"But Drew-" before I could finish he moved the map away to allow Dawn to see where she was to meet Misty.
"May," Drew turned to me to look me in the eye once more. "Go, now."
Mistys POV
"Wow, you two where a lot easier to catch than I thought," Trip gloated as he tied my wrists behind my back.
"You freaks remind me of our old friends who had powers like you," they laughed as they reminisced about the past.
"That's funny, I wouldn't call us friends." I looked up to see Ash and the other boys standing in front of us, arms crossed.
"Paul, Drew, find the others," Gary commanded as two of the boys disappeared.
"What the hell?! Get out of here!" I shouted at them to leave.
"You girls forgot that I'm pretty good with electronics," Ash spoke with a smug smile as he held up his hands, electricity looking as if it was evaporating into the air.
"Damn it can't you just leave us be." I looked over to Leaf who was being held against the wall by the enemy.
"You're the ones who need help," Ash pointed out making me chuckle. With one twirl of my fingers the water in the air liquefied and engulfed the boy holding me.
"You were saying?" I asked after Leaf knocked out her captor in one punch.
"You insignificant little skanks," I heard the boy beside me whimper as he tried to stand up, out of breath. Before he had a chance, he fell to the floor surrounded in yellow sparks.
"Stay down," I turn to see Ash lowering his clasped fists in anger.
"Okay, Leaf, you're going to meet Paul here," Gary spoke quickly as he pulled out a map. "Misty, you will meet Dawn here. They will explain everything to you when you meet them." As he finished the alarm went off, marching footsteps getting louder.
"Go now," Ash shoved me slightly as he tried to encourage me along.
"Wait," I stopped him, grabbing his collar as he did.
"Misty you have to-" I placed my lips on his as I pulled him closer. I let him go as I looked him dead in the eye.
"Come back to me," I let him go and run off, grabbing a pokeball and calling out .Be careful Ash.
