Amy’s POV

Word spreads around quickly, messenger chaos’ not only deliver messages but are known for spreading gossip around to other chaos as well, there for sometimes other chao owners know what’s going about in the area or even far spread… it was only supposed to be the two polar kingdoms of North and South to meet at my kingdom; but since chao’s spread their gossip around there was more than just the two invited households, the castle is just about packed to capacity.

My mind was everywhere, trying to be a proper princess and greet everyone that arrived, and still seem calm about what might happen. Of course security was advanced, every guard was on the ready, even some villagers with the able body to fight was given a job of joining the guards an knights to defend their home if needed. Not only my guards, but Shadow’s as well! I had the chance to meet his best knight, Sir Espio. He sounds very wise and gave me some advice, “When one listens he acquirers much information, when one sets his ego aside only then will they be able to meet in the middle.” At the time it was a little confusing to understand. His words lingered in my mind as I tried to dissolve and understand it. When one listens he acquirers much information… maybe Sonic will have to listen to Shadow, and get the full story of what is going on. Whereas Shadow must set aside his ego and pride and grab ahold of some maturity to agree to an actual treaty?

I’m still a little confused, but I’m sure once Sonic arrives it will all make sense.  Shadow had already been here, he and I pitched my idea to my mother and father, of course after explaining how all of this happened in the first place, and the fact that he would sneak into my room ticked my father off; his face had changed a beat red color and he was about to behead Shadow for what he thought he could have done to me. I had to a sure him I was still pure, and finally he considered our idea. Invitations were sent out to North and South, but the first at our door was the East, and West, followed by the South. Even Cream had made it to the ‘party’.

“It doesn’t bother you that at the first sight of each other they could break out in war right here in the castle?” Cream asked greeting people with me.

“Are you kidding? I’m terrified!” I said in a whisper.

“Well on the bright side if things do turn out well, you’ll get a ‘happily ever after’ just like those other stories you tell me!” She smiled at me.

“…I thought this was like one of those stories at first but, it’s proven to be very different.” I sighed and if this ‘bright side’ was only an imagination and everything takes a dark turn for the worst… I’m doing it again, ailing myself with worry. If it were possible, I wish I could hide in a dark hole for years and years until all of this was over, and no one remembers anything about what happened.

To make it worse, finally Sonic and his parents arrived along with their troop of Knights. I looked around for Shadow, I knew if Sonic saw him when he first walked in he’d either turn away and walk out or it would be instant war. Shadow had been hidden in a guest room. A white bat, the same one I recall pulling the king away from his duty sat on the balcony outside of Shadow’s door. Her clothes were fixed now, and she looked beautiful, only unlike a lady or anyone to be close to royalty she didn’t wear a dress, and almost her whole chest and arms were exposed!

…Was she one of Shadow’s chamber maids? The thought of him even with one, which is rightfully his to do as he pleases, still set me off. Now I understand how he knows how to do that…’ thing’ whatever it was. My mind instantly brought back the memory of Shadow and I outside, after I asked why anyone would want to bite a person they liked. Remembering his ‘answer’ sent shivers and chills up my spine as my body longed for the actual touch again.
