The Secret of the Tablet

Following Cleopatra's directions, we made it to the temple without getting lost. Ahk was clearly exited, and I don't blame him. Before getting into the temple, though, we stopped. It was time to say goodbye to Lancelot. Finally, may I add.

-Well, I think we got it from here- Larry said

-Maybe I should accompany you in?- asked the knight

-No, I'm sure we got it- I said

Lancelot nodded

-Well, friends, Larry, funny looking carrier of the Tablet, magical Lady Alice, Nick- Lancelot started. He took Meg's hand and gently kissed it -Lady Margareth- Meg smiled like an idiot -Thank you for this adventure- he shook Larry's hand

-Goodbye- said Larry, and we started walking away, when Lancelot spoke again

-I will not say "Goodbye"...-

-I will- Larry interrupted him -I'm sorry, but we really need to go, we don't have much time. But really thank you, for everything-

We waved at him, and we walked towards the temple, leaving him behind us.

We got inside the temple, and we were greeted by golden walls covered with hieroglyphs and golden columns. Ahk was looking around amazed

-I haven't seen these walls in many moons- he said, with a cracked voice

We were about to reach two opened sarcophagi, when we heard a woman's voice

-Ahkmen?-

We looked up to see a beautiful lady dressed with a white robe and covered with golden jewels looking our way with wide eyes

-Mother!- exclaimed Ahk

-Ahkmen!- she shouted, and ran towards her son, and hugged him tight. Then, she let go of him, and turned around. A man, a pharaoh, was walking their way

-Father- said Ahk

The man smiled at his son

-Welcome home, my son- and he hugged Ahk

I smiled at that scene. I was so happy Ahk had found his family after so many years

-I want you to meet my friends- Ahk said

We all stepped forward

-I am Merenkhare, Pharaoh of the Nile and father of the son of the Sun-

-And I am Shepseheret, the glittering jewel of the Nine Kingdoms-

-And I am Larry- he said

-Guardian of Brooklyn- added Ahk

-Yeah. Ehm, I live in Manhattan actually...-

-Yeah but it didn't sound as cool- whispered Ahk, then he looked at me -And her. Father, Mother, meet Alice, my love-

I smiled at Ahk, and bowed my head a little

-It is a true honor to meet you, Your Highnesses- I said

Ahk's mom smiled at me, and Ahk's dad looked at his son

-She's really beautiful, son-

-Yeah, she is. But I assure you, she's much more than just beautiful- he said

I melted inside at that phrase. Larry took word

-I'm sorry to interrupt, but we all would be very happy if you would take a look at the Tablet, something's happening to it and we don't understand what it is...-
