It was 2am the morning after Sheldon had proposed and Amy was wide awake, looking at her sleeping fiancé next to her. She sighed and sat up, quietly moving herself into the wheelchair next to the bed and going out the room, trying not to wake Sheldon.
Penny looked at the time on her phone and then at the caller ID as her phone started ringing, Leonard waking up and looking at her, "who's calling you at this ridiculous time in the morning?"
"It's Amy, she wouldn't call at 2am if it wasn't important".
"Is she okay?" Leonard sat up as Penny answered the phone.
"Amy? Is everything okay?"
"Sheldon proposed to me".
"He did? Are you serious? Congratulations!!"
Leonard tapped Penny on the shoulder, "what did Sheldon do?"
Penny looked at her husband, "he asked her to marry him".
"And Amy had to call at 2am to tell you? Penny, I don't think you should be congratulating them just yet, she needs advice".
Penny raised an eyebrow at him and put the phone back up to her ear, "Amy, are you happy about it?"
"I am, at least I think I am, I just think that Sheldon asked because I was feeling down about being in the chair at the time, I'm afraid that he's doing this for all the wrong reasons".
"Oh Ames, I'm sure that's not true, Sheldon loves you, I've never seen him more happy, I'm sure he... hello?" Penny looked at the blank screen on her phone, "weird, she hung up on me"
Amy turned around and looked at Sheldon as he put her phone back down next to her, sitting on the couch, "do you really think I'm marrying you for all the wrong reasons?"
Amy looked down, "I don't know, Sheldon, you asked me when I was at my lowest, I think part of me thinks you were just trying to cheer me up".
He sighed and took hold of her hand, "Amy, I promise you, I am marrying you because I love you and I want to be with you forever, no other reasons".
She looked back up at him, "are you sure you really want to marry me?"
He nodded, "I am". He leaned forward and kissed her, the kiss going for a few seconds before Sheldon picked her up, Amy wrapping her arms around his neck as he walked back into the bedroom with her.
