"Why is deciding on a name for your daughter so hard?" Penny looked at Leonard, "why do you have to have such a stupid last name? Nothing goes with Hofstadter".
"Don't insult the name, it's your name now as well remember"
"Should have used my maiden name, lots of names go with..."
The baby started crying in the cot next to Penny's hospital bed and she watched as Leonard picked her up, rocking her slightly. "It's really hard not to take the name insulting personally honey".
"I'm sorry, I'm just tired" she moved across on the bed slightly, Leonard sitting down next to her and putting his arm around her as she cuddled into him.
"What was your favourite girls name when you were a young girl?"
She looked at him, "I thought we agreed to come up with a name together?"
"We did, but it's been a day and I don't think we should keep calling her baby girl for much longer".
"Okay, when I was younger my favourite girls name was Rose"
"Rose Hofstadter, it has a nice ring to it, I like it".
She smiled, "me too"
He looked down at the sleeping baby in his arm, "what do you think, Rose?"
