"You can't give up Amy, I believe in you".
It had been 3 months since Amy had woken up and she had been going to physical therapy in order to get her walking again.
"It's no use, Sheldon, nothing is happening, not really".
"Yesterday you managed to move your foot, even if it was ever so slightly, it's still progress".
She sat up on the bed in the physical therapy room and Sheldon lifted her into the wheelchair, Amy looking away from him as she teared up.
"I hate being in this chair".
Sheldon sighed and knelt down next to her, "please don't get upset Amy, it may suck now, but you'll be walking before you know it".
She wiped her eyes and looked back at him, "why do you keep saying that?"
"Because I love you, Amy Farrah Fowler" He looked into her eyes and smiled at her, "and because I need you to be able to walk down the aisle".
"What do you mean?"
Sheldon reached into his pocket and took the engagement ring out of it, "this isn't really how I wanted this moment to play out, but I want you to know that I'm never going to give up on you". He cleared his throat, "Amy, will you marry me?"
She looked down at the ring and back up at Sheldon, smiling, "yes".
