Leonard was stood in the doorway of Amy's hospital room, Penny sat on a chair by the door and Sheldon sat in a chair by Amy's hospital bed. It had been a week since the accident and Amy's condition hadn't changed.
A couple of minutes later a nurse came and told Leonard that visiting hours were almost up.
"Sheldon, time to go buddy".
"No, I'm not leaving her on her own, I want to be here when she wakes up".
"I get it, but visiting hours are almost up".
"I don't care"
"Sheldon, come on, we need to go".
Penny stood up and went over to Leonard, "honey, let me talk to him, why don't you go and get the car, I'll get him outside in a couple of minutes".
Leonard sighed and nodded, "okay" he kissed Penny quickly, "I love you"
"I love you too"
Penny watched Leonard leave and sat down next to Sheldon, putting an engagement ring next to him.
"Where did you find that?" Sheldon looked at her.
"In a drawer on your desk yesterday, I was looking for a pen". She smiled slightly, "why didn't you tell me you planned on asking Amy to marry you?"
"I don't know, why haven't you told Leonard you're pregnant? I'm not the only one bad at hiding stuff, I know the 'wine' you had last night was really cranberry juice".
"How did you..never mind, my point is Sheldon, you and Amy love each other, she's going to wake up, yes her condition hasn't improved, but it hasn't deteriorated either, you need to come home, get a good nights sleep, please, do it for Amy".
Sheldon nodded, "okay, but you have to tell Leonard he's going to be a father, he's a really good guy, he deserves to know".
"Deal" she smiled slightly and stood up, linking her arm around his as he stood up as well, "you've really come a long way since I've met you, I'm proud of you".
