*CH 6: I Am Here*

   #*~READER'S POV~*#

"Hey. Wake up" Cloud shaking me gently. I groaned, my vision were blurry so I rubbed my eyes gently. "What time is it?" I grabbed my phone and my eyes snapped open as I looked at the time. "Oh snap! It's already 4:27 am. I need to get ready." I said as I stood up and took a quick shower. It took twenty minutes for me to get ready and we get going.

We went through the scary dark forest. It was dark here, I only saw a dark trees without trees and the moon illuminate the road so we can see. The wolf howled so loud making shivers ran up my spine. I tightly wrapped Cloud's waist as my head buried on his back. His right hand held my hands tightly, making me calm. We arrived in an old fashioned mansion.

I climbed down from Fenrir and wait for Cloud to climb down. We were greeted by the head butler Fred and escorted us to his master's office. His name is Wayne Greene. They were talking about business and I just sit in the sofa and put on my earphones, playing "'All We Know' by The Chainsmokers". While I was listening to music, I noticed the guards standing between the door holding their guns in the side of holster suspiciously.

After they finished talking, we went towards outside to the Fenrir. When I was about to reach the Fenrir, suddenly the wolf howling, this time louder than before, making shivers ran up my spine again as I held Cloud's shirt on the back tightly, making him chuckled at my reaction. "W-what's so funny!?" I asked annoyed and a bit mad. "Scared?" he teased. "Hah! Scared!? No, I'm not scared!" I lied as I let go of his shirt. "Don't worry" he said as he turned around to face me and hugged me. My head buried on his chest. I feel the heat rising on my cheeks as I heard his heartbeat.

"I'm here." he added. "I'm here, so you don't have to be scared" he reassured me. His hand ran soothingly through my (h/c). He looked down at me and smiled.

~~Flashback~~

A lightning spark across the sky and the thunder roars loudly, making shivers ran down my spine. I was playing with my toys over the carpet. A thunder roars louder, making me jump. I jumped into father's arms. I hugged him tightly, scared. "Daddy! I'm scared!" "Don't be scared, my little sunshine. I'm here. I'm always here. You don't have to be scared" dad tried his best to keep me calm and safe.

I blushed and gently pushed him away. A smile plastered on my face at the memory. "So, where are we going now?" I asked. "Since my work is done, I can show you around the Edge." he told me. I suddenly sense danger. I pushed Cloud before gunshot were heard. I quickly summoned my gun, turned around and shoot the man who try to shoot us. We were surrounded by men coming from the mansion. Cloud unsheathed his sword and slashed them with it. I unsheathed the sword and killed them who were cornered me in one blow. I helped Cloud defeat them.

Wayne run through the hallway like a coward he is. We chased him and caught him in the basement. I looked at the big mirror at my side. I can sense someone is behind it. I hear them loading their gun. They pulled the trigger and luckily I use Armiger Arsenal to block the hit just in time. Cloud took care of that guys while I held Wayne's arms tightly in secure. Cloud came after defeating those guys. "What do you want from me?" he interrogate him in anger. Wayne chuckles, "I want you...dead" he said and pull the gun from his holster and point it at Cloud's head but I quickly strangled him from the back until I heard a snap on his neck and collapsed.

"I knew from the start I wasn't imagining, (Y/n)." said Cloud coldly. "What do you mean?" I was confused. "Your eyes turn red." he simply stated. I sighed. "Sorry I lied to you. My eyes turns red when I'm mad or while using magic." I answered. "Magic?" "Yeah. A friend of mine taught me when I was a child. Father said it was for my self-defense. When I grew up, I grew stronger and tougher so I made a promise to the king to protect the heir of the kingdom of Lucis." "Lucis?" he repeated "That's where I was raise up" I answered. "I'm hungry. How about we're going to eat in a restaurant? I'll tell you more later when we get there." I suggested and he nodded.
