*CH 5: Just An Imagination*

#*~READER'S POV~*#

"Where are you going, Cloud?" Tifa asked. "Back to my job." he coldly replied. "Can I go too?" I asked and shook my head. He tinted his head to the side. "No. You're staying here!" he answered in an annoyed voice. "But, please. I wanna go with you. Just let me, please. I promise I'll never let you down or do anything stupid. Please" I begged, as he turned around and I do a cute puppy eyes. If I go with him, maybe I can have an adventure. I can go and take pictures on places I haven't seen. I always love adventures (with Cloud LOL).

We stayed silent. Cloud took a glance at the floor. I waited for him to respond, until he decided to speak. "You can come, (Y/n). Just don't do anything stupid an-" I cut him off. "Yes yes yes! Finally! Gimme 5 minutes to get ready!" I giggled and rushed to my room. I packed my things and put on my leather jacket. I put on my black shoes and sheathed my Engine Sword.

I knocked on Dominique's room. "Hey Nik Ann. I'm going out with Cloud, k?" she groaned in response, "Is that a date, (Y/n)?" she asked mockingly making my heart beating fast and blushed. "That's not it. We're going to adventure! You wanna come along?" I asked. "Sorry (Y/n). I'm busy right now" she answered sadly. "Okay. I understand" "Ok, take care, (Y/n)". "Okie dokie. Better get going!"

I ran back to Cloud, who is waiting outside, his back facing his motorcycle. I think it's what he called Fenrir. He had a stern look on his face. "Let's go! I'm excited!" I said happily and excitedly. "Just stay with me. Don't you just roaming around without me or my permission. You might get hurt. Got it?" He said as he turned around facing the Fenrir. "Got it, sir!" I respond in annoyance. "That's a cool sword you got there!" Wow, he only complimented my sword. What about me? I'm beautiful, right? Just kidding! I decided to respond. "Yeah. My father gave it to me" "How is he?" he asked before he peered over his shoulder . "Oh, he's good. I hope nothing bad happen to him." I whispered at the last part.

We both jumped on the Fenrir and he started the engine. I wrapped my arms in his waist tight and I rested my head on his back. I listened to the rhythm of his heartbeat and soon fall asleep.

"Are we there yet?" I whined impatiently. "Not yet. We'll be there within a day so we might have to camp out here tonight" he said as he rolled his eyes. "Okay, Mr. Strife" I sighed and he did the same. "(Y/n), just call me Cloud" he said. "What!?" I can't hear because the motor engine is so loud. "(Y/n). Just call me Cloud!" he repeated louder so that I can hear. "How about I'll call you, Spikey." he sent a glare from a rear side mirror. "Just kidding. Cloud." I chuckled. I then spotted a town ahead and an idea popped out of my mind. "Hey Cloud. I saw a town up ahead. We can spend a night in an inn" I suggested. Minutes later we arrived and booked a room in an inn. We went to our room.

"(Y/n), what are you?" he suddenly questioned with a furrowed eyebrows. "What do you mean 'what am I'? I'm obviously a human" I answered in annoyance and rolled my eyes. "What the hell is wrong with your eyes? I mean, your eyes turned to red when we were arguing earlier." he said. I look at him in a confused look and then chuckled lightly. "I'm sure you're just imagining things, Cloud. We should sleep, it's getting late." I calmly said, trying to keep it a secret. He sighed. My (e/c) eyes turned red when mad or using my powers just like Noctis.

"You go sleep in the bed. I'll be in the couch." he said. "You sure you wanted to sleep in the couch?" I asked. "Yeah. That's totally fine to me." "Okay" I said with a smile. "I'm sorry for shouting. I didn't mean to-" "It's alright. Let's just forget about that, okay?" he nodded.

'I wasn't imagining, (Y/n). You're hiding something from me. I'm going to find out soon' he thought as he walked towards the couch. He lay down on a couch. 'I know you're going to find out soon, Cloud. I'm sorry I lied to you' I thought before I lay on the comfy bed. I soon fall asleep.

I woke up in the midnight and went over the balcony. I watched the twinkling stars above and airplanes flying, remembering Noctis and I stargazing up the sky since kids. "Why are you up this late?" Cloud startled me and I turned my head immediately. "Can't sleep?" he asked. "Yeah. And you scared the shit out of me!" I muttered, turned around and looked up. "Sorry" he apologized.

"You?" I asked. "What?" he's confused what I'm talking about. "I'm asking the same question you asked." I said. "Oh! I'm tired but can't sleep. So I walk over here and saw you standing." he answered. I yawned and decided to head back to bed. "Where are you going?" asked Cloud. "Trying to get some beauty sleep. You should rest a bit. It's pretty late now" I said tiredly as my heart beating fast when the back of my left hand touch his as I walked past him. I climbed on the bed and pulled the sheets to cover me. 'What is this feeling?' I asked mentally before I drifted off to sleep.
