Y/n's pov

       "You don't have to do this," I said to my best friend Eduardo Dorado Jr "look, Y/n, I know you don't like this idea but I'm doing it," said Eduardo "bu-," I began "no buts, Y/n, I'm doing it," Eduardo cut me off, he looked at me, "I'm sorry chicka," he said "you can always come with me," he offered, I shook my head, "my papa will be able to track me down remember? He surgically implanted a tracker," I said "ah, forgot about that," Eduardo said, he zipped his backpack up and slung it onto his back "I guess this is goodbye, chicka," he said, I gave him a hug "adios, amigo," I said "adios, amiga, I will call you when I find a phone," Eduardo said and he left.

       Ever since he left nothing has been the same for me, Mama and Papa are arguing more than ever, they're at the brink of divorcing and Papa is planning on taking me with him instead of letting Mama take care of me and that's what happened, Papa has won the court "but, Papa, I want to live with Mama," I said "no! You will stay away from your pathetic mother," Papa snapped, he bought a house in El Paso, Texas meaning I had to go to a new school.

       Here I am, standing in front of El Paso High School. I sighed 'well, here goes nothing,' I thought and went inside.

*after school*

       I threw my backpack onto my bed and fell onto the bed face first, 'I wish I was living with Mama, I wish Eduardo never ran away, I wish Mama and Papa never divorced,' I thought 'I hate my new school, everybody made fun of me because I can't speak English very well,' I thought, I buried my face into my pillow 'to make matters worse, Eduardo broke his promise, he hasn't called me at all,' I thought.

       I sighed and pulled out my homework. I decided to take on mathematics first but I tossed my book across the room in frustration, 'gah! How can anyone understand this?!' I asked myself 'I certainly don't,' I heard a pop making me jump.

       I turned to the direction to see Eduardo "Eduardo?!" I hissed quietly "what are you doing here, amigo?" "to find you that's why, amiga," Eduardo said "come with me, let's run away from your papa," Eduardo said "we can be together like how we used to," "what about my tracker?" I asked "a friend can take care of that," Eduardo said "now come on!" I grabbed his hand.

       Eduardo pulled me close "hold on tight," he ordered and bright light was all I saw.

       Minutes later I found myself with a group of teens "is that her?" asked a boy with long hair "si, this is my amiga Y/n," Eduardo said "let me deal with your tracker, Y/n," said a boy wearing a blue beetle like suit, I nodded and let him do his..... thing? Minutes later, my tracker was turned off "there, you're free to go," said the boy "gracias, amigo," I said "de nada," he said.

       The group argued about where to go next, Blue Beetle said we should head back to STAR Labs while the others disagreed "we're leaving," said Tye "sorry, hermano," and that's that.

       Eduardo took my hand and we left.
