Echos of a heartbeat
Beating with mine
Only ever a dream
I hope your heart will never break
Never shatter
I hold my heart close
No patched up breaks
Fear of that has stooped my tongue
Tied my words in knots
Knots that twist in my stomach
And become butterflies
The echos of your words
Saying my name
A sound that makes my heart beat
And I pray your heart will always be whole
With or without mine.
