Dear Uncle Paul.

Please come to my house quick! Mummy is so sad. She cries all the time. She says its because  she had to go to a place called court where a man said that mummy and daddy weren't married anymore. I'm confused Uncle Paul. If mummy and daddy aren't married now, is daddy still my daddy? Mummy said daddy was now married to Yoko and that she is having a baby too!  Can  a daddy love 2 children at the same time? Will he still love me do you think?  Daddy is going to live in another country. How can he see me when he is so far away?  Is daddy going away to get away from me? I still love my daddy Uncle Paul so what can i do to make him come home again?

Julian

Dear Cyn,

It was great to see you and Jules last week and I hope that you're both still smiling. Life will get better, afterall John could be such an arse at times!

I've enclosed a letter for Julian. Its not sealed so you can check it before he reads it. I've only said again what I talked to him about when i saw you both.

Keep in touch now Cyn. I'll sort out a time when you and Julian can come over and meet Lin and  the girls properly . Mary's walking now...don't kids grow up so fast! It seems not that long since she was born!

love Paul.

Dear Julian,

It was great to see you and your mum last week and I hope that you're both still smiling. I couldn't believe how much you've grown. You're very tall for an 8 year old!

You mentioned that you are still worrying about your dad loving you. You know dads have an amazing ability to love all the children they might have.  You know that I have 2 little girls now, Heather, who is nearly as old as you and Mary, who is still a baby. As their daddy, I love them very much. I share my love between them the same. Your dad will do the same thing with you too, even when the new baby comes. Your dad will always be your dad no matter where he is and no matter who he is married to. He will always love you Julian, don't  forget that.

I've given your mum my phone number so that you can ring me if you want to chat. You can ring me anytime Julian. I mean that.

I'm organising a time for you to come to my house with your mum. You will be able to meet my family properly then.

Take care Julian...make sure you and your mum keep smiling.

love

Uncle Paul.
