Dear Dad,

I've had the most amazing 3 months of my life working with you in the studio. I still can't believe that you wanted me to play on the full album. I honestly thought you were going to do just one track! It's made me feel that I'd like to have a career in music. I expect there'd be some problems with the Lennon name though!

I spoke to Paul the other day. He told me you and him had been talking on the phone a lot. That's good to hear. Both you and him have told me stories about how close friends you were! He said he's planning to release and album at a similar time to you. It'll be funny to see what happens in the charts if Lennon and McCartney are competing with each other - seperately! Maybe I should release a song too!

I can't wait to see you in the new year. It's seems a milion years from now but I suppose it's only fair for mum to have me home this Christmas. Maybe I can help you with the promotional stuff for the album when I come over next.

I need some ideas for a birthday present for Sean too.

Hi Son,

Hope everything is going well. I spoke to Paul again the other day. He said he's spoken to you. Him and Linda were in NY with the kids promoting his new album. I've bought a copy - it's pretty good - DONT tell him I said so though - he can still be a big headed git even if he is my mate! They came over too. His kids were nice with Sean. Lin and Yoko got on OK whilst me and him had a jam session. It was like old times. Back when we were kids of your age thinking we were something cool!

I've sent you a draft copy of the new album cover. We've decided to call it Double Fantasy. What do you think of the cover picture? If you look on the back, you'll find you in the credits. Let me know what you think.

No releasing songs to compete with your old dad or macca - got that!!
