Just A Friend (Jai+Luke Brooks)

Chapter 7

"Wow." Jai says breathless as I flop down next to him in his bed. We both lie there, speechless and out of breath.

"Yeah," I agree, smiling at the ceiling. He was just, wow.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door. "Jai?" Luke asks through the door. Jai and I look at each other, alarmed.

We both stand up on either side of the bed as I run into his bathroom. I hide behind the door as I hear him unlocking the bedroom door to face Luke.

"Hey. You woke me up!" Jai lied.

"Haha, yeah right. You're always up at like, 4am! Anyway, have you seen Charlotte? I need to talk to her about me going to London with her," Luke replies, and I can hear Jai's silent hesitation.

"London?" He asks. Oh shit. I didn't tell him that I was going with Luke. This was probably the worst way for him to find out.

"Oh yeah, I'll explain later. Have you seen her?" He asked again.

"No, sorry, maybe try James or Skip, they might know," Jai answers dully, and I could tell he was bummed.

"Thanks,"

Jai shut the door again as I walked out slowly from the bathroom.

"I know, I'm sorry."

"London?! What the fuck?" He whispered, sort of laughing at the same time.

"I know. It was a spur of the moment!" I laughed with him, trying to keep as quiet as possible.

"How long?" He asked, becoming more serious.

"Uhm, 2 weeks?" I said nervously, saying it as though it was a question.

"What!? I have to come!" Jai whisper shouted.

"Okay! Come with us! Just make it subtle, like you're coming for the city, not for me." I replied, leaving him to pack.

I snuck out of his room, praying to god that none of the boys would see me.

Just as I was about to enter mine and Luke's room, Skip walked out into the hall and gawped.

Why the fuck is he up at 4am?!

"What? You never seen a girl in their underwear before?" I asked sarcastically.

"Not you! Now I can see what Luke's type is!"

I scoffed at Daniel then walked into my room and got dressed.

I changed into gray leggings, an oversized sweater and my white converse.

Comfy clothes. I tied my hair in a messy ponytail and finally checked I had everything packed.

Luke walked in, and pulled his full suitcase to the door.

"By the way baby, Jai's coming as well because he wants to see the city!" I exclaimed, hoping it was a good enough excuse.

"Okay........When did he decide to come?" Luke asked me, confused.

"I don't know! He just told me like, 2 minutes ago!" I replied, lying through my teeth. "Are you ready? I'm so excited!!"
