Adeline walked back into the hospital absolutely shocked, tears still running down her face, and her shaking getting worse. Everyone looking at her as they pass by her, Adeline just held her arms against her chest, letting the staff lady lightly hold Adeline's right arm, even though Adeline barely had the energy to walk, if she even tried to runaway, she wouldn't make it very far, she was just worn out. Finally they made it to the elevator and pressed the button to get to the 5th floor, and the staff unlocked the doors with her badge, letting Adeline in.
"Welcome back Adeline." The lady at the desk said, Adeline just continued to walk to her room with her head facing the floor, not making eye contact, and planned om just sitting on the ledge to look out the window.
Walking into her room, there were paper bags on the floor, and Jordan's stuff inside of them, she came walking out of the bathroom. Looking right into Jordan's happy eyes, but Adeline could tell that Jordan was hiding something. Jordan gave her a look of worry, while Adeline gave a look of confusion.
"What's going on..?" Adeline asked confused, sniffling slightly.
"I just got news." Was all Jordan said, and she packed her stuff some more.
"What's the news?"
"I'm leaving. Apparently I'm 'well enough' to leave. I mean, who cares that I still want to die, right?"
"You're... Leaving?" Adeline asked, and Jordan nodded, handing Adeline a note.
"Don't read in until I leave. Okay?"
"Okay."
Adeline sat on the ledge, watching Jordan pack her stuff, and listening to the music play. A slight knock on the door, and Lindsey, one of the staff, came in letting Jordan know that her parents were here, Jordan froze, looking at Adeline in fear, Adeline nodded, the way the one staff did at the funeral; telling her to go. Jordan stood up, grabbed her bags, gave Adeline a quick hug, and walked out. Peeking her head out the door, Adeline got a glimpse at Jordan's parents: her dad was tall, and skinny, with brown spiked hair. Her mom was just a little shorter than him, with blonde hair. Walking back into her room, Adeline went into the bathroom and just started at herself in the mirror, she could see the sadness.
The sadness controlling her life, her mind. She couldn't be happy, she would try and immediately something would happen to make her upset again. Looking in the mirror, all she can think is of how fat she is, how worthless she is, how everything seems to be her fault. Dr. Rose claims she has an eating disorder, she just feels to fat, she doesn't deserve to eat. He claims that she is all this stuff, but there is a reason why, doesn't mean she has it, right? The mirror showing the monster that lives in her... and she didn't know how much longer she wanted those monsters to last; but they were her friends, if she got rid of them, she would alone once again... She knows it's killing her, but they're the only things that truly care.
"Adeline!" Someone yelled, Adeline shook her head, getting out of the thoughts, and she looked up, finding Zack, a staff here, "everything alright?" He looked at her cautiously.
"I'm fine," Adeline lied, faking a smile.
Zack nodded and left the room. Adeline glanced at herself once more in the mirror and walked away.
"You deserve to die. You don't deserve to eat. You deserve the cuts on your arms, the pain you get through it
You deserve it all. Oh! Forgot to mention... You're a murderer; I'm surprised they haven't sent you to jail. YOU MURDERED KYLE!" Is what the voices in Adeline's head likes to say, every second of the day. It's always worded differently, but the more she thinks about it, she can see it's all linked to one of those.
