So I know not everyone sails so I'll have a list of sailing related vocab words that I will update throughout but if you do sail you can skip this.
Autohelm - mechanism that steers in a straight line with out someone at the wheel and uses a magnetic compass
spinnaker - the big colorful sail in front of the boat for downwind sailing
fleet - group of boats that are racing against each other
race sunset - the time you have to finish by or else you are counted as a did not finish (DNF)
skipper's meeting - prerace meeting with all skippers that are competing to learn the course and to get important information
knots - speed nautical miles per hour
sheets - brings sails in
halyard - line that brings sails up
genoa - same as a jib except jib is smaller the front sail
fore deck - the part of the boat in front of the mast
