LORAIN'S POV
The day after me and Ashley went prom dress shopping, was going to be a big day! I was going to ask tommy to prom!
Lord! I'm so nervous! What if he says no? What if he says yes? Oh. There's only one way to find out!
"Hey? Earth to Lori!" I was surprised to see Ashley waving her hand in front of my face. "Woah! Ok! I'm back on earth!" I laughed.
"Good! Because Tommy is over there! Nows your chance!" Ashley pointed to a boy that was playing on his phone. My stomach twisted. "Are you s-sure?" I stammered.
"Girl! Get ahold of yourself! Now is your chance to ask your crush!" Ashley pushed me towards him. I gave her an alarming look. She nodded me to go on.
I nodded back. I sucked in a gulp of air and walked up to him. "Hey t-Tommy." I stuttered. Goddamnit! I need to stop stuttering!
Tommy looked at me and nervously smiled. "Oh! Hey L-Lorain." He stuttered. Oh my god. He never does that around other people. Does he...like me too?
"So Tommy." "Y-yes Lorain?" I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. "Willyougotopromwithme?" I opened an eye, and saw Tommy smiling broadly.
"Oh Lorain! I've been meaning to ask you that since prom was announced. But I was afraid you would say no." Now it's my turn to smile. "So, is that a yes I hear?" Tommy laughed. "Definitely."
"Ok! Pick me up at 6?" I asked. He stopped and put his thinking face on. "Yea! That would be perfect!" He said excitedly. "Ok! See ya later!" I turned away and walked to Ashley.
She had a "I told you so" look on her face. When I was in front of her, I started crying. She hugged me. "A-Ashley! He said yes! And H-he likes me too!" I buried my face deeper in Ashley's shoulder.
"Oh Lori. It's ok. You don't have to cry." Ashley just hugged me even more. "And look! Bailey was watching the whole thing!"
I froze. How is that a good thing?! "Ashley! She was watching?!" I stopped crying and looked over my shoulder. There was Bailey, standing a few feet away from me and Tommy.
She was looking back and forth at me and Tommy. She looked angry and shocked. To make it even worse, Olivia was standing beside her, looking at me angrily.
"What are you looking at, Bitch?!" Ashley yelled at at Olivia and Bailey. They looked at each other then walked into the school. Before Bailey went inside, she turned and looked at me.
"You are going to wish you hadn't done that." After that she left.
My heart stopped. Ashley must have noticed because she told me it was ok. That Tommy would protect me. I agreed, but I was still scared. Will he protect me?
~prom night~
I was in my room fixing my makeup. When I was finished, I took a step back. My breath Caught in my throat. I was so stunning sexy in my red dress.
With my hair curled short, and half way in a bun, I still looked sexy. I wonder if Tommy will like my outfit. "Girl! You are as sexy as the Devils bitch!" I turned to see Ashley in her pink dress smiling at me.

"Aw. So flattering!" I said sarcastically. She laughed. All of a sudden there was a knock at the front door. "Hello? Lori, it's Tommy."
My heart started fluttering. "One sec!" I yelled. "Ash do you need a ride?" I asked her. "Na. Matts gonna take me." As soon as she said that, there was another knock at the door. "Ashley? It's Matt."
We looked at each other. "Well speaking of the devil." Ashley laughed. "Well? Let's go!" Ashley grabbed my wrist and went to the door.
