Lorain's POV
Cold. That's what I felt. Just cold and dark. And paralyzed. I can't move. Not even a finger.
Is this what it feels like to die? To leave everything behind, and just.... feel like nothing?
Then, there was a light. The most beautiful thing I've ever seen. It was, warming.
Then it felt like something broke inside me. Not a bad break, but, like a free feeling, as if something was free from all this hurt and sadness. It felt wonderful.
I regained control of my body and slowly walked towards the light. As I was about to walk into it, a gentle voice rang out.
"Hello Lorain." I jumped. "Who are you? Where am I?"
The voice chuckled. "I'm Lalya. Your wolf."
I must have heard that wrong. "Um, w-wolf? As in, big hairy mean dirty wolf?"
Then I heard a laugh. "We are not like that. We are human beings with a wolf."
That laugh sent shivers down my spine, like a tingling feeling.
"I will explain later. But now, you need to go to your mate. He's been worried sick "
My eyebrows scrunched together. "Mate?"
I heard Lalya sigh. "Your mate will explain. Now you must go."
I felt a force push me to the light, me of course stumbling.
Then all too soon, all the comfort I had left, disappeared. It left like it didn't even exist.
Then the scent of antibiotics and strong cleaner started burning into my nose.
I'm in a hospital.
Dear gosh. Why me? why me?
Then something grabbed hold of my hand. It was cold and clammy.
I jerked my hand away and sat straight up, regretting it immediately, for the pain that rushed to my head.
I grabbed my head and whimpered, looking up to find a girl, not much older than 15, looking at me with watery eyes. She smiled and ran to the door.
"She's awake! My Luna is awake!" She yelled.
Then the sound of foot steps sounded.
Oh gosh. What have I gotten myself into?
