After the incident, I arrived to chemistry late. Which I now have a detention for once again. I couldn't even focus on the lesson taken my mind was so preoccupied with buzzing confusion towards what just happened.

Nathan Doors, the schools bad boy, wants me to be his girlfriend? Fake, yeah, but nonetheless, his girlfriend.

I needed to feed some answers to the pit of growing confusion forming in my head. He said he would explain later. It aggravates me that I let him walk all over me. If the situation was different, I would've gave him a piece of my mind.

But it had to be about the scholarship. I don't play around with my scholarship. I'm not sure how he knows that the scholarship holds such importance to me. I definitely don't want to take a loan that I will spend all of my days paying back.

I don't want my parents to pay for it either. They could, yes, but then I've got that sister. Yes. That sister. Sabrina is my twin sister, I'm seven minutes and fourteen seconds older than her. She graduated from high school early and got into the most prestige school in the state, Newton University.

I'm still in my last year of high school and my parents give her all of the attention. They always mention her in every dinner, in ever party, in everything.

We're both seventeen, but she's a sophomore in college, whereas I'm still a senior in high school. Therefore I want so badly to get a scholarship into a good college, so maybe, just maybe my parents would be proud of me as well.

Out of all of the parties and dinners, just once do I want them to praise me for my hard work.

Too caught up in my thoughts, I barely noticed the bell already rang until I started to see people leave. I made my way to my locker to put my books down. Closing my locker, I slung my bag over my shoulder.

The hallways are basically empty since the bell for lunch rang around five minutes ago. A few kids were left lingering around their lockers or catching up with friends.

I started walking through the halls and towards the music room for lunch. I didn't feel comfortable in the lunchroom since I didn't have many friends. I didn't have any to be exact.

Suddenly an arm shoots out in front of me and swiftly pulls me into the janitors closet.

I yelped in surprise and took in a deep breath, ready to yell for help. A hand clamped over my mouth, aware of my actions. I started to kick and slap whoever was with me in there.

"Ugh stop! It's me, Nathan!" A voice said and I immediately stopped. I heard a slight tick and the small room lit up. Nathan stood in front of me holding his cheek which was in the process of swelling up.

"Geez, you hit hard for a nerd."
