At school people consistently proceeded to give me looks. Some were shocked, others were glares and most were ones of confusion.
Shocked because Nathan decided to date me. Glares from all of his fan girls. And confused glances from all the guys that wonder what Nathan sees in me.
I shrugged off the looks and continued on with my day. Nathan still remained in the hospital, once people found out, it was hell for me.
She probably ran him over herself.
I bet she hired someone to do it.
Look at her, she thinks she rules this place. Ugh, the bitch.
Why would he date her?
He probably ran in front of a car and stabbed himself because he realized who he's dating.
So many different theories. They were interesting to hear. They didn't really effect me, I couldn't care less.
I smirked at some people to let them know I was listening to what they're saying and that they're not bothering me.
I went to check up on Nathan after school like I had promised. After that I hadn't gone to check up on him.
Who was I to him anyway?
The incident and all of the bad attention started to distract me from my school work. I went home everyday and studied even harder.
I made sure I was making dinner for Jerry, and avoided him when he was drunk. Which was often. Which also meant lots of nights where I slept by the river and ran home at 5 in the morning.
Jerry and my mother are getting a divorce in two weeks, and she's taking a bus to Boston a week after that.
