I slowly woke up to the sun shining in my eyes.

I realized that Nathan was no longer beside me.

No wonder I feel colder.

I got up from my bed and went to brush my teeth and get dressed.

By 'get dressed' I mean grab a random pair of jeans from my dresser and grab one of my hoodies or jackets.

After getting ready I walked to the kitchen and found Nathan there.

As usually, he was making breakfast.

"Whatcha making?" I asked as I plopped down on the dining stool.

"Pancakes. I'm gonna spread Nutella on the them." He said as he turned around and winked.

"Chocolate!" I yelped in happiness.

Chocolate to me is like drugs to drug addict. I can't get enough until it messes me up.

After eating breakfast, we both got into his car and I decided to throw out my phone as we drove.

Yup. Just chucked it out of the window.

"Now that he knows where I live, do you think he'll come for me?" I asked in a low voice.

"Jade, I told you not worry about it okay? If anything happens, I'll be there, I promise. I'll stop him." He said as he led out his pinky.

I took his pinky in mine and gave him a smile.

He put both hands back on the wheel once the red light turned green.

"I hope Chelsea didn't make up too many rumors." Nathan mumbled under his breath.

"Let's walk in like a real couple or something like that to show her that she didn't get in between us." He said as he parked his car.

I nodded and got out of the passengers seat and slung my book bag over my right shoulder.

Nathan turned off the engine and joined me as he held my hand.

Fireworks started to go off in my heart and a zoo was let wild in my stomach.

People were looking at our intertwined hands and started to gossip.

I stared at the floor as we walked into the school.

He walked me to my locker and then waited for me to get my books.

I heard that they broke up because of Chelsea.

They didn't break up, they walked in holding hands.

I heard he's cheating on her with Chelsea.

Well, a reliable source told me they're all in a relationship together.

That's gross.

What do you expect from the weirdo?

I sighed and slammed my locker.

I'm not going to let them get to me.

I thought as I held my head higher and walked beside Nathan to my first period class.

I walked into the classroom, ignoring the rumors passing around, and sat at the back like usual.

Surprisingly, Nathan sat next to me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him as I looked at him strangely.

He opened his mouth to answer my question but before he can say anything he was cut off by the math teacher, Mr. Winkley.

"Nathan Doors! What are you doing in my classroom? This is not your period." He said as he started to dial the office's number.

"Actually, if you would just check your attendance sheet, I've been switched into this class." Nathan said with a smug face as he leaned back in his chair.

"Well I'll be the judge of that, young man." Mr. Winkley said as he grabbed the folder from his desk and scanned through the attendance sheet.

"Well then, I guess you are in this class." He sighed as he put the folder down and started to go through the lesson.

"Why did you switch your schedule?" I whispered as I turned to him.

He shrugged and then winked at me.

Must be because of the plan.

The school day went by pretty fast.

I tried to block out any thoughts of Jerry and Nathan so I catch up and concentrate on my work.
