"It's so tasty" I moaned. "I haven't tasted something so good in my life."

"Now you're making this sound sexual" Jay said from the other side of the table.

I looked down and swallowed the banana, strawberry, and Nutella acai I was eating to try and cover the blush in my face. "Sorry" I timidly say.

"Well, you're not wrong, it really is good" he said and took a bite from his own.

We were currently seated outside a little kiosko on the beach. It's been four days sense I hurt my ankle which already heeled thanks to some tips from the nurse that took care of it and I'm god as new. As for our time in the island it has been crazy. I never thought I could do so many things in less than a week we've been to so many places I can't even describe. And as our last day here in Puerto Rico, we're going to try something a little more extreme, we're going to try the world's longest zip line.

Yeah I know. Have I ever zip line ever before? Nop. Why did I make this decision? I have no fucking clue. Am I scared? Fuck yeah. I don't even know why I'm doing this. It's literally suicidal. But, like Jay said, life is all about taking risks and doing things you never thought you could do.

"You done?" Jay asked.

"Yeah" I responded taking our empty acai bowls and disposing them on the trash can near by.

"Ok lets go"

Jay parked the car in-between two others, we took out seatbelt off and got out. As soon as I saw people on the top of each mounting holding the zip line and a person sliding down and screaming from the intense adrenaline, I almost fell to the floor. "Oh hell no." I said and started walking to this good looking restaurant in front of us.

"Alexis come on, don't back up now" I heard Jay walking behind me trying to catch up.

"I'm not backing up, ok? I'll just stay in this nice restaurant, drinking a nice piña colada, and watching my nice friend die nicely" I smiled sarcastically.

A smirk formed in his face as he crossed his arms in front of his chest and stared at me. "What?" I snapped a little annoyed.

"So we're friends huh?"

My cheeks instantly felt hot as when I realized I indeed said friends. "Well I-I mean yeah... Of course we're friends we've know each other our whole lives, at least we have to be friends" I said a little shy. Why the fuck are you shy Alexis? It's not a big deal, you're just friends.

"It's good to know" he responded, but this time with a sincere smile.

"Anyway, I'm not going there."

Jay rolled his eyes in annoyance and took steps closer towards me until he was only a feet apart from me. He took my hands with his, they fit perfectly, and looked deeply into my eyes.

"Alexis look, you can't just back up when things get scary. Every day something hard has to happen and it's our jobs as humans to overcome it as normal, basic thing that happens each day. Even if it's from deciding what clothe to wear to deciding if you want to go down a zip line. You don't have to do it if you don't want to, but remember that there are going to be things harder in the future than that zip line, so why not do the easy ones now when you can?"

I tried to register his words on my mind, but the close proximity between us didn't let me as each world he said he stood closer. His eyes only inches aways from mine. But it was not time to think about that, he was trying to do something nice for me, which I'm truly thankful for.

"Ok" I said, my voice low.

"Ok?" Jay said a little surprised with my quick answer.

"Ok, I'll do it. You're right, I shouldn't back out from this kind of things. I bet they're amazing experiences that so many people wish they could live so I'm going to do it and make one of my own" I said feeling more positive about the situation.
