I hopped roof to roof, I didn't drink too much tonight. Though I still wanted a beer. I huffed and shifted my weight, turning to look down at the town. The town, it looked so nice from up here. The lights all shone through the night, though this wasn't a city. You could look up and see the stars. They shown brightly, some hidden by the town lights but some still shown through.

My head turned, I heard something.

I ran I didn't waste another second, I hopped down into an alleyway and slipped through the shadows. I can't let them find me. I made my way back to the bar, might as well, I was in the mood for a beer. I made my way to the bartender and had him slide a beer to me. I took it and downed it quickly. Another..? I got another beer, ease the worry I feel. It's so addicting... I got another drink, then another. I couldn't stop. I already forgot the reason why I was there. I got my final beer and left the building, a bit wobbly in my step. I walked straight out into stranded the streets.

"Huh... what?" I grumbled not catching what Gurifin said as my mind was running elsewhere.

I shrugged and continued to walk along with my drink. As I made my way down the street I hummed a song. I looked up at the sky as I walked along, after awhile I noticed a figure hopping roof to roof above me. Ah, shit. I found a bench and sat down still holding my beer.

"Alright, ya little sucker. Show yourself," I scoffed swirling my drink. The figure hopped down from the roof he stood upon. He removed his stealth division mask. There he was, noble in the flesh.

"Why did you run?" he asked me staring me down with his sharp eyes. Though they didn't faze me one bit.

"Why do you think I did? To escape," I replied continuing to tilt my hand back and forth watching the liquid in the bottle move with my hand.

"To become a lame loser on the streets? Waste your life away with beer and drunk idiots?" He scowled looking at me with disappointment.

"A guys dream. Don't you get it already, Haru?" I replied, using a nickname we used only when we were kids, when we used to be friends.

"What do you mean?" He stumbled not expecting me to use the old nickname.

"You caused this, what you see before yourself," I hummed before taking another swig of my beer.

"No. I didn't," he said sternly though I could hear the brokenness behind it.

"Come on, you sonovabitch!" I exclaimed getting up off the bench, making my way towards him. An amused look plastered onto my face. I get right up in his face, breathing heavily a large grin on my face. I then said quietly, "I went through a lot of hell, of course I'd want to be a drunk bastard on the streets. It's better than living through depressing, lameo land. Save the richies who get to roam the world happily and freely without a single clue there are monsters hunting them. I thought it'd be fun, slaying monsters with my best bud. But then your weak ass couldn't even fend off a small crowd!"

I then laughed in his face slapping his shoulder, "Pathetic! The only good thing bout you could be your looks but otherwise you're nothing!"

I then shoved him back, taking another swig of my beer. Crackling and laughing in front of him, he didn't expect this kind of reaction. I could tell as he stood there with mixed emotions.

"Hmm now then, you're beginning to bore me," I hum turning away. I begin to stumble off into an alleyway, I then jumped up and grabbed the end of a small ladder and pulled myself up onto a roof, I rolled onto it before siting up, spilling more than half of my beer in the process. I heard a thud and turned my head over my shoulder to see Haruki standing there with hazy dull eyes, the first time I ever noticed them that way.

"Oh gezz, come here and sit down will ya," I sighed just letting go of all the hatred I had for the guy, he could screw me up this badly but he's not pulling me out of it so I guess I could give him some credit for letting me enjoy some free time.

"Have you ever gotten this drunk before?" He asked as I groggily reached out and snatched his mask away.

"No," I replied sternly, as I throw the cloth aside away from him and look down at the bottle that held the little remains of beer I had left in it. He seemed a bit startled again as he looked over at the mask that laid a bit further away on the roof.

"Well, you're a lot more... cheery..." he said looking at my expression. I shrugged and scooted closer to him, suddenly it felt like my head was smashed by a book and I fell forward onto Haru's back. The alcohol... My hands move up to Haru's shoulders and I pull myself up resting my head on his shoulder.

"That's better..." I mutter letting my head rest there for awhile. He went stiff under my touch, I didn't know why. It's been a long time but you can't blame a drunk guy who has no idea what the hell he's doing. My hands moved to his hair, my mind no longer thinking straight as I tangled my fingers in the long black strands.

"It's soft..." I murmured my head turning and burying into his hair, it was soft, it had a small aroma to it too. He continue to sit there silently, he didn't move, he didn't talk. My hands soon left the black hair as they soon fell to his waist. I wrapped my arms around him in some kind of hug and started muttering things, I was sure he could hear and under stand it, but I couldn't remember. All I thought I was saying was gibberish, nonsensical things. I still held him there before I soon passed out, the pounding in my head knocking me out from the world that surrounded me, and the noble that sat in my arms. Why did I like holding him like that?
