Aria's P.O.V
After a year, we run into each other in a coffee shop. How cliche is this? Beck stood in front of me with his hand in his pocket and the other, holding his coffee.
"How have you been?" Beck asked me.
"Good. Good," I said lying a little. I missed him a lot sometimes. His smile, his kisses, his hugs.
"What about you?" I asked.
"I've been better," he said scratching his neck a littlewith his free hand.
Beck was in his usual attire. A sharp suit with his hair combed up. He had a scruff on his face now that went really well with him. It made look more handsome and serious.
"Who's this little fella?" Beck asked looking at Xander. My heart raced a little.
"This is Xander," I told him.
"Hey Xander," Beck smiled at him. I wanted to tell him but I couldn't.
"I should get going," I told him before getting up.
"Wait, Aria," I looked at Beck and he handed me his number.
"Please call me. I want to catch up with you," Beck said.
"Okay," I nodded. Beck smiled a little and he nodded before leaving.
I went back home to see Erin there. She looked up at me and saw my expression.
"What happened?" She asked.
"I ran into Beck today," I said.
"You did what?!" She asked, getting up.
"We went to a cafe and the next thing I know, he's there in front of me and he wants to meet up again," I said.
"Well are you going to meet up with him," Erin asks me.
"I don't know. I haven't spoken to him in a year!" I tell her.
"Part of me says do it. It's destiny. But the other part of me that is taking control is saying, don't do it," Erin tells me.
"Ugh. Why now! Why me?" I said before flopping down on the couch. Erin got Xander out of the stroller and walked over to me.
"If you don't talk to him, then I will never know who my daddy is," Erin said in a baby voice. She was raising up Xander a bit. Xander laughed making me smile at my baby.
"So I should talk to him?" I asked her.
"You're gonna regret it later on," She mentioned. I nodded in agreement before standing up.
"I'm going to go call him," I tell her.
"Yay mommy!" She said, throwing Xander's small arms in the air.
I walked into my room and took the card out of my pocket. I dialed Beck's number before holding the phone up to my ear. Is this a good idea?
"Hello?" He answered.
"Beck?" I asked.
"Aria?"
"Yeah."
"I'm glad you called," he said.
"I was just wondering if you want to get coffee tomorrow."
"Yeah. Of course. What's a best time that suits you?" He asked me.
"What's the best time that suits you? As I recall, you're a very busy man, Beck," I tell him.
"I am. But I can always make time for you," Beck tells me.
"Okay. I'll see you there then?"
"Yeah. Same coffee shop I ran into you in," He told me.
"Okay. I'll see you tomorrow," I tell him.
"I'll see you then."
