Aria's P.O.V
I was back in work, helping with my last patient. She was scared of shots but her sister was trying to comfort her.
"It's not that big of a deal, Winnie. It's just a small shot," Her older sister told her.
"But they hurt!"
"You two remind me of Lilo and her older sister," I chuckled.
"We get compared to them a lot," Her older sister chuckled as well.
"If you want, I can give you a stress ball. So when it hurts, you just squeeze it instead of hurting your sister's hand," I told her.
"Okay," Winnie nodded. I gave her the stress ball before preparing her shot.
"Hey, Winnie, did you know that a lion's roar isn't as loud as a tiger's roar?" Winnie's older sister told her.
"Really?" Winnie asked. I started to give her the shot, making her squeeze the ball hard.
"I don't know. I'm just distracting you from the pain," Her older sister said.
"It's kinda working," Winnie said. I pulled the needle out and put the band aid over the mark.
"Okay. You're all set," I smiled.
"Thank you Doctor Montgomery," Winnie smiled, handing me the ball back.
"You can keep it, Winnie. It's for stressful times or if you need to get another shot," I tell her.
"Thank you," She smiled. They walked out of my room, letting me clean up the area.
"Uh, Doctor Montgomery," One of the nurses knocked on my door. They opened the door, giving my attention to them.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Someone wanted to drop off something for you. It's in the front," She smiled. I walked over to see a bouquet of flowers on the desk. I found the card and picked it up.
Date night at 8? - Beck
I smiled at it before looking around. Everyone smiled at me as I left the bouquet there. Once my shift was over, I put the flowers in my car and drove home. When I got inside, I saw Beck and Xander together.
"Did you get my flowers?" Beck asked.
"I did. Let me get ready and we can go on a date," I tell him.
"Perfect! I asked Erin to babysit," He told me.
"What did she make you do, for her to forgive you?" I asked. If I knew my best friend, she wouldn't let you off the hook easily.
"I had to say that I was a stupid idiot who cheated on the most beautiful girl on Earth," Beck said. I laughed a little before picking up Xander. I kissed his cheek before walking upstairs.
I took a long shower before changing into a knee length, blue dress. I curled my hair before applying my makeup. I slipped onto my black wedges before hearing the doorbell ring. I walked downstairs and opened the door. Erin stood there with a smile on her face.
"Hello, Erin," I said.
"Hello, Aria. Where's Xander?" She asked.
"His room."
"Okay. You look beautiful," She complimented. Her phone let out a text ring, making her get her phone out quickly. She looked down before texting the person.
"Who are you talking to?" I asked.
"A girl I met at the coffee shop. She's really nice and she's also pansexual," Erin smiled.
"That's great," I tell her.
"I know right!" She smiled.
"Aria? Are you ready?" I heard Beck asked. I looked over to see him in a suit.
"Yup."
"Should I get Xander first?" Beck asked.
"I got it. You two enjoy your date," Erin said.
"You sure?" I asked.
"Go," Erin smiled. I smiled back at her before we left the house.
Beck drove to a fancy restaurant before giving the valet the keys. We went inside where I saw people sitting and eating. I stared at some of the art that was hanging until Beck snapped me out of my trance.
"Aria, come on," Beck smiled at me. We followed the hostess where she showed us a table where it had a nice view of New York. I sat down in front of Beck who smiled at me.
"Is everything alright?" Beck asked.
"Yes," I smiled over at him.
"I really missed you, Aria," He told me.
"I missed you too."
Once we ordered our food, we sat there talking.
"So how's life in the house and not in the office?" I asked.
"Homey. I can go out with Xander more but I need to cover him a lot."
"Good. I hate him being on the media," I tell him.
"Yeah. I had some security around to protect him," Beck said.
"You're a good father," I tell him.
"I could've been better. I missed out on everything."
"And that's why I agreed to move back with you. So you can see Xander and spend time with him," I tell Beck, before taking a sip of my water.
"I appreciate that. I'd do anything for you and Xander."
"I can see that," I tell him. There was a pause. The sound of the light music and people talking filled the quiet pause between us.
"Are you really going to move out when he turns 18?" Beck asked me.
"I'm not sure anymore. You're a great father to him and I still have feelings for you," I tell him.
After we ate, we went back inside the car but we went to Central Park. I held Beck's hand as we strolled around for a bit.
"Had you have any guys in your life after broke up?" Beck asked me.
"A couple. Erin tried to set me up with some but they weren't you. Sure they were nice but I wasn't has happy when I was with you," I tell him.
"Oh."
"What about you? Any women in your life?" I asked.
"No. After you left, I drowned myself in work. Marie had such a long vacation because I told her to," Beck said.
"Aw, Beck," I said.
"I guess we both couldn't move on exactly as we hoped," Beck said.
"I guess we didn't," There was a long silence after that.
"Aria, would you give us another chance? Please?" Beck asked me.
"I think another chance wouldn't hurt. But if you decide to cheat on me again, I'm moving out and taking Xander with me," I tell him.
"I promise that won't happen," Beck said.
