Chapter 3: Noah

About ten minutes later, a boy that was about 6 foot walked into the room. He had white skin and silky blonde hair that went well with his brown eyes. "Noah, it's good to see you." Raula said. He ignored her and just looked at me. I smiled at him as he ran over and hugged me. My moms left the room and Noah sat down in a chair. He was handsome and was wearing whatever a classic teenager wore: a grey T-Shirt with a pair of black jeans and converse. "Oh my god Eliza I thought you were going to die and I was so scared and I didn't get a call until a few minutes ago-" He kept talking non-stop that I was barely even able to hear him. I had cringed when he said 'omg'. It was an angel thing. Then he held my hand and kissed my check. "I'm just so glad that your ok." He finished with a sad smile. I let out a breath and smiled back. "I am too." I replied. "So what did the doctors say?" He asked me. I shrugged my shoulders and frowned. "They said that basically I was somehow healthy." I lied. Noah frowned at me and squeezed my hand. "Well that must have some meds huh?" He asked me jokingly. I looked down at his hand and saw that he was staring at me. "Hey, you okay?" He asked brushing his fingers over mine. I nodded my head as I felt a burning pain in my back. That meant my wings were growing into my back. I sighed and cringed at my back as I shifted on the bed. "Is your back bothering you?" He asked me getting up. I shook my head and raised my hand as Noah sat back down. "It's ok Noah I'm fine." I lied again. Angels weren't supposed to lie but every body's gotta break the rules sometimes. "Katie missed you. And Alex is having a party to celebrate you." He told me. I smiled picturing the two. Katie with her long brownish blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair white skin. While Alex, ruffled black hair, dark brown eyes, and tanned skin. "They're gonna be so excited to see that your okay." He told me brightly. I chuckled and one of my moms walked in. "Eliza? Your fathers waiting out here so finish up with Noah." She told me. I nodded my head and Noah smiled sadly. "Ok mom." I told her still getting used to the words in my mouth. She closed the door and Noah frowned at me. "Are you going to be okay with him?" He asked me. It took me a second before I realized he was talking about my birth dad. I nodded my head and squeezed his hand. "I'll be fine. Now go before I change my mind." I joked. Noah smiled at me before kissing my cheek and leaving. A couple of seconds later a tall bald man with dark skin walked in. I could already tell the similar features between him and Eliza. He smiled to see me and hugged me. "Oh kid I thought I lost you." He told me. I awkwardly patted his back thinking about how good of a dad he was not being here by his daughters bedside in her dying moments. Robert sat down in the chair that Noah was sitting in and held my hand. "How are you feeling?" He asked me smiling hard. I smiled back and told him I was fine. Then I felt a painful burning sensation in my back that made me bit the inside of my cheek, hard. "Eliza? You sure your okay?" He asked gripping my hand harder. Swallowed hard and nodded my head sucking up the pain. "Yes I'm fine." I told another lie. He relaxed in his chair a little but not fully. Raula and Sabrina walked in Sabrina carrying another chair. She placed the chair down on the opposite side of Robert and Raula sat next to him. "Do you want anything?" Sabrina asked leaning forward in her chair waiting for an answer. I shook my head biting back the pain in my back again. "I think I just want some sleep after I talk to dad." I told them. Sabrina frowned along with Raula as Robert looked surprised. "What? Did I say something?" I asked confused. Robert let go of my hand and smiled. "You've never called me dad before." He admitted quietly. 'Oh' was all I could say before blinking my eyes a couple times pretending to be sleepy. "Robert we should let her sleep." Raula told him. Robert gave me a small frown before standing up and kissing my forehead. "I'll come see you later okay sweetheart?" He told me. I nodded my head taking in a familiar sweet and sickly smell: Alchol. Robert left the room and I looked at him concerned. Sabrina and Raula kissed my cheeks in unison and smiled at me. "We'll come back tomorrow too okay?" Raula told me. I nodded my head and watched as the two left my room. I then grimanced as the pain got unbearable. I bit back a loud scream and replaced it with a deep grunt. My wings should grow in over night, but I had actually gotten pretty tired. I laid my head on the pillow only a few moments away from sleep. I chuckled lightly seeing a memory that Eliza had. It was of her, Alex, and Katie all having a panic in the park while it rained. I smiled right before I was swept off into sleep
