Eliza Clark: Earth Bound Angel

Chapter 19: School

              I woke up around 7:30 today school starting at 8:15. I took a quick shower and pulled out some clothes from my closet. I had no clue what to wear but I was just going to throw something on. I pulled out a pair of black skinny jeans, which I had multiple pairs of, and a black and blue sideways striped shirt. I put the clothes on and checked the time. 7:55. I grumbled and put on my normal converse along with noticing a jewelry box on my desk. I opened it to see all types of jewelry. I smiled and put on a necklace with a gold chain and a single gold feather along with a ring that had looked like a crown on one hand and a silver 'E' on the other. "Eliza we have to go!" Raula knocked on my door. "Ok I'll be out in a few minutes!" I told her. I looked back at my clock and saw it turned 8. Where was the time going. Then I saw a black bracelet with a few silver spikes and thought it would go well with my outfit. I put that on as Raula opened my door. "Come on lets go..." She said to me before looking at my outfit. "What?" I said looking down at myself. Raula bit back a smile and nodded towards my head. "Brush your hair and lets go." She said before closing my door. I heard snickering down the hall and I rolled my eyes brushing my hair. A few moments later I walked downstairs to find Sabrina still in her pjs. "Here Eliza, I packed you a lunch." She told me handing me a black lunch bag. "Thanks mom." I told her giving her a hug. I let go but Sabrina stil held on. "Sabrina let Eliza go we're going to be late." Raula complained grabbing her keys. Sabrina groaned and let me go. "I'll see you later. And be home right after school!" She shouted at me after I was dragged out the door by Raula. We got in the small buggy as Raula handed me a light blue backpack. "Here. You need this when you go to school you know." she joked driving down the road. About 10 minutes later we pulled up in front of the school. In big blue letters it read 'Ocean Beach High School' with a picture of a Tiger showing its teeth and claws. "Hey, do you mind walking home from school? You can say no if you want." Raula asked me looking down at her phone. I nodded my head and opened the car door. "Yeah I'll walk. See you later mom. Love you." I told her. Raula smiled at me and told me she loved me back. I walked up a few steps and inside to be greeted by Alex and Katie. "Oh man we were thinking you'd never get here." Alex told me with a smug smile. He was wearing a pair of brown velvet pants with a dark red T-Shirt. While Katie was wearing a bright yellow sun dress. "Nope, here in one piece." I told him. Katie hugged me as the bell rang signaling for homeroom. "Gotta go." I told them. Then I realized I had no idea where I was going. I looked back at Katie and she pointed me down the hall towards Mr. Alexzander's room. I walked down the halls slowly remembering what Eliza remembered. The halls were painted a light blue with a blue and white checker patterned tile floor and yellow lockers. Looking further down the hall there was an opening with a fountain and little slabs you can sit on along with some flowers and patches of grass. 'Pretty' Was all I thought before I walked into the class. My home room was Science so I was hoping to be pretty good at it. "Eliza Clark I never thought I'd see you in my class again!" Mr.Alexander proclaimed giving me a tight hug. "Good to see you too Mr.Alexander." I told him. He was shorter than me, dark skinned and was wearing a white button up, dress pants, and a blue and white striped tie. He was balding and had a black mustache which was weird since he didn't have half of his hair. "You can sit at the empty table in the back." He told me. I nodded my head and walked towards the back table where nobody was sitting. I pulled out the stool to sit down then looked at the tables. They were black with a pine wood cabinets underneath. The black must had been paint or something because it was cool to the touch. Then Noah walked in and sat in front of me. It took him a second but he turned around In his chair to face me. "Are you still mad at me?" He asked me. I shrugged my shoulders as Tracy Sanders walked in and sat next to Noah. "Cool, I was hoping we could hang out tonight?" He asked me. I saw Tracy look at me out of the corner of her blue eyes as I answered. "Can't. Maybe next week." I told him. Noah frowned and turned back around as Mr.Alexander called for class to begin. "So before we start class, I'd like to welcome back Eliza Clark and congratulate her on a fine recovery." He announced. Everyone clapped and looked at me except Tracy and two other girls that sat at the front table. The class was organized by three rows of three with two people sitting at each table except the ones in the back. "And I would also like to introduce a new student, Warren would you introduce yourself?" Mr.Alexander asked someone in the door. Maybe we could be friends.

Really just an uneventful chapter, sorry. I'll see you guys later.
