We had waited for what seemed ages just for our drinks to come. Since then, me and Bianca had gotten through that awkward small-talk phase, and were now just talking like we've know each other forever. I wanted to ask her how she knew Lizzy. If they were friends don't you think she would've left the house? We reached an awkward silence after we finished talking about the college classes we plan on taking.

"So how do you and Lizzy..." I'm not sure how to form the question, but she seems to understand what I'm trying to say.

"Oh, she's my stepsister" Bianca flatly says.

"Your parents are divorced?" I ask.

She nods her head as she swallows her drink and places the cup back onto the table, "They've been divorced for as long as I can remember"

She show the emotions I thought she would. I thought she would've been thrown off and almost hurt, by the question but she wasn't. And I honestly didn't know how to feel about that.

"I hate when parents do that, you know?" She doesn't wait for an answer but just keeps going, "Like if you know you love someone and you're going to spend your life with them without any regrets you should think about commitment. But if you can't even have one kid without the other spouse going crazy about god knows what then why'd you even marry that person? Why did you even waste your time with them, no, why did the other spouse waste their time loving you an think this would be a happy marriage?"

She had some good points. They were so good I was left speechless. Bianca took my silence has a signal to continue, which she gladly did.

"My mom for example: she had me, and from what I heard she couldn't even hold me without shoving me back to my dad because she couldn't "handle" me," The pain was clear in her voice, I didn't want her to continue because I simply didn't want to see her cry on the first date. But she did.

"And that makes me sick to my stomach she's a horrible person and I hate her, she keeps wanting to see me, but she didn't even want me." The food comes an I swear I see a tear fall down her cheek, but the waiter covers her face from me. Which I assumed gave her enough time to wipe it away.

"How 'bout your parents are they still together?" Bianca asks once the waiter is gone.

"Uhm" I cough, "My dads dead"

I look down at my food. No one really talks about my dad. Except when relatives come over and tell me I have his laugh, or his charming smile.

"Oh god I'm sorry!" She says, almost choking on a piece of chicken.

"It's fine,"

And it really was. I didn't know the guy. All I know was his death was a very cliché death. He was driving home from work when a drunk driver wasn't watching the road and hit his car. The impact was so hard it caused my dad to die on the way to the hospital. And about 5 months later my mom had me. It was sad knowing my dad wasn't there for anything and from what I heard he was a good guy. He shouldn't have left without saying hello first.

...

"Do you wanna go watch a movie?" I asked Bianca as we walked towards the car.

"Yeah, heard Catching Fire was amazing! Have you seen it yet?" She asked as I opened the door for her, she shyly thanked me.

"No, not yet" I answered. We talked about the first movie. I honesty wasn't really into The Hunger Games, but Calum forced me to go watch it with him because the girl he was seeing was a Hunger Games fanatic.

"Should I get the small or the large popcorn?" I asked Bianca while we were still in line for the tickets.

"There's a Dollar General down the street we could always buy some candy there" She smirked.
