I drew the curtains opened, letting the sunlight hit his face, before going over and sitting at the edge of the bed.

"Good morning sunshine." I smiled. Ashton buried his head back into his pillow.

"Shh," He groggily spoke. I crawled under the covers beside him. He wrapped his arm around me and buried his head in the crook of my neck, placing a kiss.

"We have lots to do today," I told him in a hushed voice.

"Can't we just stay here." He pouted.

"It's your best friends birthday."

"Your birthday isn't for a while." His voice vibrated against my neck sending chills down my spine.

"I thought I leveled up to the title of girlfriend."

"Can't you be both?"

He looked up at me and smiled. Ashton got up, his bear body exposed from under the covers. His body made a temporary dent in the bed. He had begun running the water. I heard the irritating sound of metal pushing back the shower curtain. I shut my eyes for a while, pulling the blanket closer to me. I buried my head in his pillows, which mint and soap.

"Lets go, up, up, up! We have loads to do today." Ashton's voice spoke mockingly as he ripped the sheets off from on top of me.

I got up with a grunt. My vision was beginning to focus. Ashton's fully dressed figure was running around his room.

"What are you looking for?" I asked him rubbing my eyes.

"My — aha!" He pulled his wallet out from a dresser drawer, "Got it. Lets go." I drowsily followed him out the door. We decided to have Chloe's party at my home.  Ashton called Calum over to help us while we got the place ready.

"The bounce house guy is coming at ten." I told Ashton as I taped the pink streamers to the wall, "And the rest of stuff is in the garage." I stepped off of the ladder, and turned to Ashton. He nodded.

"You got it?" I asked.

"Yeah, I got it." He pulled me into a hug and gave me a quick kiss. We said our goodbyes before I headed out the door. I felt bad leaving Ashton and Calum setting up for the rest of the party. It was supposed to be small with just a few friends. I was also supposed to be ignoring Chloe all day, but it probably wouldn't work. The streets downtown were the busiest I had ever seen. Lots of people were back to school shopping. We had a few weeks left until we actually started school. The thought made my stomach turn. Maggie had a large shipment of books coming in that I was supposed to take care of. She was always away leaving me with all the work. I wondered what she did when I wasn't there. I circled the streets before finding a parking space. While most stores were shut down, the ones opened were doing well. When I got out of the car I realized how far I actually had to walk. Boxes were stacked in front of the two doors. I picked up my speed, while pulling the keys out of my back pocket.
