Chapter2 New kid

Kyoto's POV

Next morning

"Rise and shine!!"I heard Naruto shouting and at the same time clapping pans."Ummmmmm!"I groaned looking up with a glare."I was just getting you up."He retorted throwing his hands up in defense.I stifled a laugh with my hand."What!?"Naruto asked raising an eyebrow."What,what are you wearing?"I forced out pointing at his orange jumpsuit.He shrugged."You've got an hour to get ready."

I nodded as he left then rushed over to my bag.If Iruka got me a jumpsuit I'd kill him.To my delight he'd gotten me an orange vest similar to Naruto's jacket,a pair of black cargo shorts,a black t-shirt and standard blue ninja sandals.

I hastily took a shower,washing the dirt and grime away.After cleaning my raven black hair and drying it,it was like feathers.Throwing on my ninja clothes I stood in the mirror.My vest looked like they'd cut off the sleeves of Naruto's jacket,and it had a hood.I unzipped the top so that my shirt could show.Looking in the mirror I realized how pale my skin was compared to Naruto's."Are you ready yet!?"Said boy called bursting into my room.A grin grew on his face and I scratched my head nervously."What?"I asked breaking the awkward silence.

"You just look,cool!"He blurted out then grabbed my arm."Lets go!"Naruto exclaimed pulling me to the front door."Wait Naruto?"I said stopping him."I'm hungry.Lets eat."He nodded and lead me to the kitchen.I watched as Naruto hastily cooked two packs of instant ramen."There you go."He said placing a bowl on the table for me and sitting across with his own.We ate in silence.Well mostly,because when Naruto finished he began cheering me on."Okay lets go."I said through laughed and we raced out the house.Naruto jogged ahead of me and I could see the Academy in the distance."Isn't that it?"I asked stopping Naruto.He nodded then turned to keep walking.I smiled and sped past him."Hurry up slow poke!!"He grinned and sped after me."I'm gonna win!!Believe it!!"

Later that morning

"Where's everyone at?"I asked looking around the empty class.Naruto shrugged and sat in the back."We're a little early."He admitted pointing at the clock.Sighing I sat at the desk behind him while I rested my head on my arms.Naruto rambled on about ramen while I did my best to rest.Eventually I fell asleep,but to my dismay I drifted into a nightmare.

Nightmare

I stood in a dark room with no doors or windows."Why am I here?"I gasped hearing my thoughts.A loud thump could be herd across from me and my eyes grew wide even though I couldn't see."Kyoto.Wake up."A voice was herd and my eyes shot open making my cousin chuckle.Looking up I noticed that other kids were entering the class.I ducked my face back into my arms growing nervous."Hey Sakura-chan!!"Naruto called across the room.Why did I sit with him?He'd only bring unwanted attention.I thought looking up.Following his gaze my eyes landed on a girl with long pink hair.A blush heated my cheeks and I looked back at Naruto."That's Sakura Horono."The drewling boy explained then glared towards the door.There was a boy standing there with Iruka.He was smiling and looked to be of the Uchiha like my father was."That's Sasuke."Naruto spat looking away.I shrugged off his attitude and looked forward,flinching when I noticed Sakura standing over me.Her green eyes softened at this and Naruto grinned scratching his head."Hi."She greeted smiling kindly.I timidly looked away afraid to make eye contact."Hi."I said quietly looking everywhere but her face."I'm Sakura.What's your name?"She asked trying to look at my face."Okay.Everyone get seated."Iruka's voice echoed making Sakura sigh.I could hear her slide into the desk behind me,and I shuddered."I'm glad to see you decided to join us Kyoto."Iruka stated looking over at me.Everyone's eyes landed on me and whispers could be heard."Isn't that that traitor?"Someone asked making me look down."He's kinda cute."I high pitch voice sequeld."Would you like to stand before the class and give an introduction?"Iruka asked making me shake my head."You can do this."Naruto encouraged making me consider it."Its alright.You don't have to."Sakura whispered to me."Okay class.Today we'll be working on kuni,so grab a partner and meet me outside."Everyone cheered and rushed to the person of their choice.Girls could be herd arguing over the Uchiha but I didn't dare to look.A hand tapped my shoulder making me look up to see Sakura.She smiled and scratched her head."Do you want to work with me?"She asked hopefully.I looked around for Naruto and spotted him having a glare down with Sasuke."Okay."She blushed and looked down to hide it but failed.Standing up I followed her out to the field.A few groups were already outside throwing kuni at targets."Over here!"Iruka called to us and we came.He handed each of us two kuni and pointed at a tree with a target posted on it."Both of you work on hitting that while I go get Naruto."

Sakura nodded as he ran off to find Naruto."Have you ever thrown kuni?"She asked me getting a quiet no in response."Watch closely."Sakura instructed showing me the correct way to throw it.When she threw her two they hit the tree but not on the mark."Your turn."She said smiling as encouragement.I nodded and took the proper stance throwing the kuni without much thought.It embedded itself on the bullseye and Sakura clapped in delight.A weak confidence erupted in my chest and I did the same with my next one."Good job Kyoto!"Iruka congratulated approaching me.Everyone was looking over at me.The girls were saying things like."He's so hot!"And some of the boys looked jealous."Have you had any training?"Iruka asked getting my attention.Shaking my head I looked down at my feet."I can tell that you'll be an awesome ninja."He told me rufling my hair.I blushed at the ground and nodded."Thankyou."I murmured then walked to the target to get our kuni.

Later that day

"Kyoto!Lets go!"Naruto shouted through the wall of girls that surrounded me.I remained in my desk starring wide eyed at the girls who wouldn't leave me alone."Can I umm go?"I asked hopefully.They all groaned in frustration."Please stay Kyoto-kun."Ino begged pulling me into a close hug.Gulping I tried to struggle free but it was unneeded.Sakura snatched me from her grasp and all the girls dog piled on her.I hopped on my desk avoiding out stretched hands and made a mad dash for the door.Naruto followed but couldn't catch up to me,because I was too fast."Wait up Kyoto!"He called as we neared our apartment.I skidded to a stop to catch my breath and Naruto ran into me knocking us both in the door.Groaning I rubbed the not that was slowly forming on my head and closed the door locking the girls out.As I turned to go down the hall Naruto blocked my way.Now that we stood face to face I realised that he was a good six inches shorter."What's up?"I asked raising an eyebrow.He looked at me as if something was on my face."How could you ignore Sakura?"The boy exclaimed getting a shrug.I slid past him and went to my room.Looking in the mirror I couldn't help but notice the resemblance between me and Sasuke.The only noticeable difference was our clothes and hairstyle.I walked over to my bag of clothes and pulled out a pair of black pajama pants.After changing I lied in bed looking up at the ceiling.My mind then drifted to my plan of vengeance and a frown settled on my face.As a ninja Id have a better chance,but friends would only get in the way.No more being scared,no more being hurt,not until I avenge my family.I thought then closed my eyes.
