Chapter5 Feelings revealed

Kyoto'sPOV
Three months later

A scowl came to.my face when my team exited the Hokage's office.I had refused to go in with them and they didn't question my intentions."Guess what Kyo-kun?We got a C-rank mission!"Zorie exclaimed glumping me.Inarie rolled his eyes at this while Mona scratched her head."Actually It was all Inarie."She explained smiling sheepishly.He nodded and started off down the hall.I thoughtlessy followed with Zorie still clinging to my side.Mona fell into steps with us pulling out a scroll."The mission is a retrieval mission.We are to meet at the borders between here and Sana to get a message."She briefed being ignored."Just meet me at the gate tomorrow at sunrise."

With that Sensei poofed away."Stop following me!"The red head snapped turning to glare at us."We're not following you Bunny sniffer!"The small blond shot back getting in Inarie face.They glared at eachother exchanging insults while I looked around awkwardly."Look it's Kyoto!!"A highpitch voice could be heard squealing.Looking back I noticed five girls running at me.In panic my eyes scanned the streets for a hiding place and before I could find one someone tackled me from behind.Grunting I struggled free from the girls grip and made a dash for the nearest alley.Running I could still hear the cries of desperation as the girls chased me."What's up Kyoto!"My cousin called out over our balcony.I stopped and glanced back at the girls who were a good distance away."Back up!"

He obeyed taking a few steps back as I used chakra to climb the wall.Now standing on the balcony I looked over at the rail glaring at the crazy girls.They'd all started chasing me a month back and that made life ten times as annoying."I see your back."I said walking inside with Naruto.He nodded hurrying to the kitchen where he checked his ramen."Yeah.And guess what?"

I shrugged thinking about how scared Id been a few days ago.I mean,when I found out my little cousins C-Rank mission turned out to be an A-Rank against S-class criminals."The bridge builder named the bridge after me!"The blond exclaimed making me smile slightly.I pulled him into a tight hug hearing him gasp in shock.He hugged back awkwardly as I sighed feeling the weight on my back ease up."Don't die on me."I whispered and he nodded.Pulling away I turned towards my room.Naruto was heard checking his ramen and I dug in my pocket pulling out some Ryo."You know what Naruto?"I asked turning around to smile sheepishly."I'm feeling up for Ichiraku's."

He returned my smile and sat his bowl on a counter."Let's go!"He shouted rushing to grab his shoes."What a loser?"I asked loud enough for him to hear.Naruto had grown use to my random insults knowing I never meant what I said.He appeared outside his room and together we left for Ichiraku's.

Later that evening

"Two more bowls!"I shouted still glaring Naruto down.Tenchi nodded grabbing the empty dishes that sat on the counters infront of us.We were in a heated eat off and who ever lost would be paying.A small crowd had gathered around us but I ignored them as Naruto laughed confidently."I could get use to this!"The boy exclaimed making me slightly nervous.My stomach couldn't take much more of this and he knew it.Two bowls were placed infront of us and we both turned to eat.I stopped holding my stomach while Naruto continued to eat with a grin."Dammit."I whispered getting my wallet out.After paying for our feast my wallet was empty and Naruto continued to eat.The crowd dispersed as I made my annoyance noticed."I'm heading home."

Naruto nodded stuffing his face and Iruka took the seat as I walked away.The sun had already set so the shops were closing and few people walked the streets.When I reached my door step I wasn't surprised to find Zorie sitting on the steps.She had start doing this the day after the survival drill and I didn't protest.When we'd talk she'd usually do most of it and I enjoyed her company."Wanna come in?"I asked only receiving a shy nod.We walked in and I abandoned my vest on the couch.And headed to the kitchen to make tea."What's up?"I asked putting the pot on boil and sitting on the sofa where she sat waiting."Nobody wants to be my friend."She whined flailing her arms around.Chuckling I looked at the ceiling."They're just jealous that I'm on your team."She accused making me fall quiet.Those fan-girls were relentless."What do you want me to do?"I asked looking away guiltily."Tell me it'll be okay."She whispered letting tears slip from her eyes.Quickly I pulled her into a reassuring hug letting her head bury in my shoulder."You don't need them.I'm your friend."I soothed lifting her head so that our eyes could lock.She leaned in to kiss me and I shot back dodging her lips.As we looked at eachother she blushed wildly."Sorry."

I stood up and looked around nervously."I don't like you like that."A look of hurt covered her face and she looked down at her hands that traced her waistband."But you said...."She started but I cut in."Just friends."

Looking up a look of embarrassment showed over her features."Don't you like me?"

That question shocked me and I was hesitant to answer.Over our time together we'd grown close and I never thought of thought we could be more than just friends.Lost for words I watched her watch me and an awkward silence filled the room."I don't know"I said honestly and she sighed at my response."Can you be my boyfriend?"

My eyes widened and she seemed to not notice."Where is this coming from?"I wandered aloud and she blushed."I really really like you and I don't want someone else to get you first."Zorie justified coming closer.Stepping back I looked at my watch."Its getting late.You should go."I suggested and she shook her head."Please."She begged putting her hands together and pouting.Sighing I thought up a response that wouldn't break her heart or my bones."I'll consider......."

She hugged me around the neck beaming brightly."Thankyou.Thankyou,and I swear you won't regret this."With that said she kissed my cheek and ran out the front door as Naruto opened it to come in."Who was that?"He asked closing the door behind him and looking at me."You remember Zorie?"I asked getting a nod and sly grin."Yeah but what was she doing over here?"

"It isn't what you think.We're only friends."I tried to explain but gave up when he start making kissy faces.Going to my room I thought about what Zorie asked.She wasn't ugly,actually she was sorta cute in a needy,kitten way,but why would she even want to go out.Were too different.Looking at the clock I noticed It was after ten.Sighing and putting my worries to the side I shut off the light and lied down.Tomorrow I'll get this stupid mission.I sure hope Zorie dosent bring up tonight.With those thoughts back tormenting me I finally found some sleep.Unfortunately It was full of scenarios where tomorrows mission could go wrong.

Akira's POV

"Kyoto."I whispered holding a small picture of my son.It's been some time now and lord Orochimaru is planning to attack the leaf.But when.When the Akatsuki refused to assist me in vengeance again I decided to go along with Orochimaru who'd already planned an escape.

"I'm coming."I whispered looking into the young child's picture.He's probably grown so much.I wandered letting a tear run from my eye.Will he remember me?

The question cleared my mind and I began to regret even leaving.What if he hates me?Quickly I shook the thought from my head and lied down.Things will just have to fall into place.
