A Surprise Attack

~Present Day~

"Remus and I then fell asleep after he transformed." I said, wiping a little tear from my cheek.

"It must have been painful to deal with Lycanthropy at such a young age." Hermione said.

"Yes, yes it was." answered Remus, who looked very sad having to remember dealing with Lycanthropy back then.

"So um...who wants some chocolate pudding for dessert?" I asked, trying to break the silence that had surrounded us.

Everyone said yes of course.

"Oh! Um, Hermione...Could you help me out by getting the bowls for the pudding please?" I asked, getting the pudding from the counter.

"Of course!" Hermione said, beaming while going towards the cupboard.

She really likes helping people out. I told myself, smiling at her enthusiasm.

"So what did Remus and you do after that?" asked Harry, who was now very curious.

"Well, the next morning Remus....."

~Past~

"Izzy...Izzy..." said a voice next to me.

I opened my eyes, and looked up to see the terribly tired face of Remus.

He looked like he was about to faint!

He had very dark shadows under his bright honey colored eyes. He also looked deathly pale.

I then noticed I was still in my wolf form.

I got up, and shook my dark grey fur, making it look very messy.

I then looked up at him.

He had changed into his normal dark brown formal shoes, his dark blue jeans, a white formal shirt, and one of our school vests over it.

His hair looked quite messy.

I went over to the suitcase, and transformed back to my human self.

I noticed I still had my school clothes from yesterday on.

"Um, Rem...Can you please go out to the hallway so I could change?" I asked, looking into the suitcase for some clothes.

"Sure." he said, walking towards the hallway, quietly closing the door after he left the room.

I quickly found a dark purple T-shirt, my favorite torn jeans, my black conversem and changed as fast as I could.

I walked over to the door, and opened it. I slipped out to the hallway, and found Remus sitting at the bottom of the stairs, reading a book. I walked down, and sat next to him.

"So...um Remus...Did it hurt more this time?" I asked, knowing what the answer might be already.

"Yes, it hurt worse than it usually does." he said in a tired voice.

"What are we supposed to do know?" I asked.

As if right on time, Athena came swooping towards me.

I quickly caught her in a hug.

She felt so warm.

I started petting her feathered back, and suddenly noticed a piece of parchment with string tied to her leg.

I looked at it, untied the string, and grabbed the parchment before it fell onto the ground.

"What is that?" Remus asked, looking at the mail I had gotten.

"It says it's from the guys!" I exclaimed, suddenly unfolding it and wanting to read what it said.

I read it out loud, so Remus could hear.

Dear Izzy and Remus,

How is your mum? We hope she's feeling better.

We know it has only been a day since you guys left, but we really miss you! Especially Peter, he can't stop talking about you Izzy! Sirius and I think it's gross that Peter would fall in love with you because you're one of his friends.

Sirius, Peter and I didn't have that much fun after you guys left. It's really boring without you guys here. It is even more boring for us to have to wait two more days for you guys to come back.

Uh oh! I have to go, or else McGonagall might kill me if she finds out i'm writing a letter during Transfiguration!

"Wow...Peter has a big crush on you then Izzy." Remus said chuckling.

"Ugh...why me!? Why did Peter have to fall for me!? Out of all the guys in Hogwarts, it had to be him! Ugh!" I said, feeling sick from finding out Peter likes me!

"At least Sirius doesn't like you." Remus said, smiling after seeing my face turn bright red at the mention of Sirius.

"I would rather date Peter than that dumb...Ugh!" I said, feeling even worse thinking about Sirius liking me.

Athena fluttered around the room, looking around for something to eat.

"Let's write back to them. And make it look like we actually did go back home." said Remus, who was now standing up.

We didn't do much after writing the letter, and sending it to James.

We wasted the day doing nothing, bored out of our minds.

We woke up the next day, both excited to go back to Hogwarts, and tired from the night before, because Remus turned into a werewolf again.

The moment when it was turning very dark, we got our things, and walked into the passage way that led to the Whomping Willow.

When we got to the end, we found McGonagall there waiting for us.

"I do hope you feel a bit better Mr. Lupin."she said, noticing the shadows under Remus's eyes.

"Come along now."she said, starting to walk towards the castle.

We quickly followed her, with our suitcase in between us.

We walked through the large doors of the grand castle, and instantly smelt the aroma of the delicious food that was now being served to the students.

"I believe you two are famished. Go on, go into the Great Hall for dinner. I will take your suitcase to the Gryffindor Common Room for you." said McGonagall, who had her arm stretched out in front of her.

We handed her the suitcase, and then she walked off.

"Should we go inside?" Remus said, gesturing to the doors of the Great Hall, which were opened.

"Are you kidding me? Of course we should go in! I'm starved!" I exclaimed.

"Okay." Remus said, starting to walk toward the Hall.

We quietly walked in, trying not to get too much attention.

We were about to head over to the Gryffindor Table, when we were attacked.
