We were finally there as the sun was going down. A sunset is when the sun goes down and creates all these beautiful colors.Indeed, the phenomenon of the sun drowning in the endless sea makes a magnificent prospect with its colors going from red to orange then a mixture of warm, dreamy colors like purple and indigo. And now I get to enjoy it with others!
"Hey Hailey. What do you guys usually do here with bonfires?" I ask her, bring my attention to her as well.
"Well we eat smores, do some sing-a-longs and some people dance. It's a blast," she replies and I nod. When we finally get there, a lot of people already were and they were just finishing setting up. But they had already started the bonfire.
The bon fire was actually so big, it was taller then the tallest ones here. Though it was, Crisp, comforting beams of sparkles filled the close spaces, the density of the smoke supplementing the already hot, heavy atmosphere. Tingles of smoke and timber brushed her fingertips like small fireflies. Her hair glistened in the engulfed amusement park, her tonsils experiencing a wealth of charcoal, burning and heat. The kindling materials illuminated the air, protruding blades of fire and light into the starry skyline. She smiled, the last time she had ever seen a bonfire but one that was much smaller; was when she when camping when she was six. The same time they found out she was allergic to bee stings so, her dad and her never went again.
"Hey, Micheal your back!" I hear Henry cheer, who is waving at Micheal; who was making his way over to them.
"Hey Henry, Hailey" he looks at me. "And Amelia," he finishes with a sweet smile and I shutter from his beautiful voice.
"So man what happened to you? when in the world did you go, everyone was looking for you?" Henry asks.
He sighs, "I'll tell you back at our Cabin," Micheal includes, wanting to end the subject.
"So let's get this party started!" Yells Henry and everyone laughs. We all follow and sit on the giant logs around the bonfire. I try to listen to what people say but, my eyes were always focused on Micheal; trying to figure him out. From the meaning of my recurring dream with him it to our first encounter to lunch time to what Henry said and then now. I just couldn't figure it out; I am getting so confused on all this.
Moments later, she hears the sound of a guitar playing and some people are hitting drums. People now were owing with joy to the music and she decides to sing along. Instantly, as everyone sang together, light appears above them, showering them in purple Lilac's and you could hear the happiness grow in peoples voices. These sparks smell so good, she thought as she sniffed the air.
"Hey, Amelia," I hear Micheal say and I turn towards him. "Firstly, about the rumors, there is no need to take then seriously. And I was wondering since you seem to be enjoying yourself, if you would like to dance with me?" he scratches the back of his head.
"What about Ginger," I ask, knowing they were together.
"She did't want to come," he replied.
"Well I can try but, i'm not a good dancer," I admit to him.
"Just follow my lead," he says smiling holding his hand out to me and I take it. As we start to dance around the bonfire with some others, the sparks from when we first met came back. They were just as warm and bright, along with the fresh smell of cookies. I could hear the aw's from everyone but I did not brake the eyes contact I had with Micheal. This was my moment, and I was not going to waste it. She danced with him like they were the only ones on Earth, like it was what she was made to do; nothing else mattered to her. They stopped not too long after, along with the music and everyone clapped. She whipped her head around to look at them all and her face went all hot.
"That was so beautiful!" I hear Hailey say as she weep. "Tonight really will be a night to remember," I can't help but feel more flustered at that comment. She laughs, "Your so adorable!" she says hugging me.
"Your squishing me, Hailey," I squeak out and she let's go.
"Nice going dude. Never seen you that into something," says Henry nudging him in the shoulder and Micheal looked away.
Mean while, I look past them and saw Ginger leaning against a tree, with a straight face. O Dear I thought, and as our eyes met, she turned around and left back into the darkness. The rest of the night went on great we had smores and we talked a lot. I honestly had a great time for once. When we finally got back, Hailey went to have a shower in the bath house and I was left alone in our Cabin. She decide it was a good time to start her journal. Since when she was packing, she decided to take note on everything she had seen and learned. Opening it and taking a pen she wrote...
Dear Journal,
Today was my first day at Holiday summer camp and it is already a crazy ride. When I first got here everything about it, looked like a fairy tail from the buildings to the people. I met a girl named Hailey today who is my roommate, who seems very nice. I also met this guy named Henry, who honestly is a little weird but overall a cool guy. But the biggest thing that happened to me was meting the guy I have been seeing in my reoccurring dream I've been having since I was five. His name is Micheal Claus and his eyes and smile are just as beautiful here in real life as in the dream. He is also very kind and overall drop dead gorgeous. Though I am not that sure what is going to happen regarding this girl named Ginger; their is something suspicious about her, that I can't put my finger on it. Lastly, tomorrow I start a botany class and I may sign up for the baking one. I am so excited! More then I have ever been.
Love,
Amelia
