He loves me, he loves me not**

The sun peeked in my bedroom window, lighting my hair like a fiery halo. I lifted my head from the pillow, my curly blonde hair tumbling down my back like a waterfall. The suns vibrant rays sent a glossy, gold sheen all around the room, blending with the green leaves of Summer. The sound of the rhythmic waves tumbling in the surf brought a peaceful hymn to my ears, as I opened my window to engulf the cool Island breeze. I closed my eyes yet again, the suns waking rays warming my body.

I hear Hailey yawn, "Good morning, Hailey," I start.

"Morning," she replies wiping her eyes. Getting out she stretches, "Wanna come to the bath house with me this morning?".

"Sure," I reply and we both get our bathing stuff and leave the Cabin.

It was luckily only a five minute walk to the bath house so, she was relieved. Once they went in they went to the women's side of the building. Inside there, was a line up showers on one side and mirrors and sinks on the other. There were toilets on the same side as our door and the biggest bath I have ever seen across from us at the very end. Getting my cloths off in a stall, I decide to get in one of the showers.

The water pours down, it drips by my side, as my mind fades into dullness and everything is a foggy illusion. The sensation of the steamy water calms me; it takes my mind of things. All the things I honestly don't care about. It's the water. My mind swirls, and it's like I'm standing under an everlasting waterfall. Ever so beautiful, but it can never last, I know that now.

"So, did you dream about Michael last night?" Hailey says from the stall beside me.

Did she know about the dream, " Um, what makes you say that?"

"Oh nothing I guess. But I was just thinking about how everyone is probably going to talk about what happened last night also," she adds, and I freeze. I had forgotten about what happened at  the bonfire last night. And Hailey was definitely right on the fact that they will be talking a lot about that. Just my luck, I have only been here a day and I have already messed up. I just have to pull through. The both of us finish and after getting ready they head over to the Cafeteria. Pulling at her new camp t-shirt she makes her way into the building.

The cafeteria is a cacophony of loud chatter, each table a cosseted huddle of people raising their voices to be heard above the din. The food she sees is secondary to the information that is exchanged around her, and as they expected she heard bits and pieces about last night. Over the over-salted fries alliances are formed and gossip traded like the common cold . As I stand in the queue for my plate of nothing fresh I cast my eyes about as if in a wandering daydream but really I'm taking note of who associates with who. If I'm going to get through listening to this information and make a better impression. It's imperative I make the right introductions, now she just has to find out who to ignore and who to flatter.

She goes to the buffet and takes some eggs, bacon, toast, sausages and a small smoothie; then puts it on her tray. She then walks to her table.

"You must be Amelia!" I hear and see Ginger looking down at me along with three girls behind her.

"Yes. And you are Ginger right?" I ask hesitantly.

"So you have heard of me! Thats great," all the girls laugh behind her. "So, I heard you have already been acquainted with my boyfriend and his friend Henry, yesterday," she says; what is she implying, I thought. "And I see you like the color red, since that is the color of your shirt. We were all thinking that since your new and adding all the other things up that, you would be great in joining our crew. You don't need to hang out with a loner like Miss. Aros here," she adds with a smile.

For some reason, she reminded me a lot of Cheerilee from school. If she was, she was horrible. She had told me that what I wore would make me perfect for her crew. I hate girls like that but, being 'friends' with her means that I am probably going to be popular. Even though that would be the total opposite of me. She seemed like the person who who tease other girls to their faces and flirt with all of the boys; but make it seem that she was just giving them a complement. And she is asking me to ditch Hailey when, she was siting right there. She was just like one of the girls from my school, that I have always dealt with. She was like, a doppelganger of Cheerilee Peterson.
