Chapter Thirteen

Phil's pov

Dan Howell.. His friends and whatever haven't been around my floor in a long time. It was strange since they always intruded my floor. I was sitting by my window making my favorite chestnut latte and sat down eating my lovely ramen noodles.

Summer was coming to an end and I was going to a university. After two more months I would finally move out of this crazy place. Mainly because of my father landing a job near the best universities I want to go to. I wanted to apply now.

I punched in my mum's numbers and phoned her.

"Hey mum?"
"Philly, dear"
I blush every time she says that, especially at school. Embarrassing!
"How was work?"
"Thanks Phil, it was great. Anyways, I have news. Dad told me you should apply-"
"Ah! I exactly wanted to say that. I am glad we are getting out of here. You know for a couple of months at this rotten hole, I think it is best we change places near dad"
It took her a while to respond.
"Sorry Philly, we both have important work. Daddy has to deal with his new job! You know how important that is, Phil. Plus, I have to deal with someone.."
"Mum! Why is it always about this Dan boy! I never liked him one bit! Stop! He is those boys you tell me never to talk to."
"Phil, what is this? Stop this attitude. Extremely rude to say things like this."
I knew every time I snap back at her, she gets all fussy. I try to control my anger. I sigh.
"Ugh.. Okay. Sorry. I just wanted to apply for college and move out, ya know? I understand you and dad have things to do. I'll call back."

I hung up. I was completely disappointed. May be another three months until I can move out. What was unusual was that mum had to deal with this stupid Dan boy for a couple of weeks. It has never been THAT long for her to complete something like this. She was out of her mind for rescuing this murderer!

I HATE DAN. Whoever the hell he was, he was basically taking my future from me! Plus, mum is so fixed in helping him! Man, this Dan boy...
