~ Niall ~

After escaping and burning down the clearing leaving it in ashes. Angel had enough strength to carry both me and her back to her and Cassie’s apartment. We landed down on the balcony and from there Angel collapsed forward from exhaustion.

‘Angel, are you okay?’ I asked her quickly. Opening the door, I carried Angel in bridal style.

‘Just put me down on the couch’ Angel spoke quietly.

I nodded my head and walked in. Walking in, I had walked straight into the lounge room. The lounge room was basically made up of 3 couches, a t.v. and 2 bookcases with a small coffee table in the centre. Maneuvering through the space around the coffee table and placed Angel on the couch. It looked like she hasn’t slept very well. But that was because she was only taken today. I felt so bad that I wasn’t able to protect her. I pulled a blanket from the back of the couch and draped it over Angel. Angel had fallen asleep and I was going to stay and make sure that she was going to be okay. I had gone and hunted yesterday so I didn’t need blood for another 2 days to a week. I walked into the kitchen that was connected to the lounge room and a hallway that was connected to the 2 bedrooms with ensuit bathrooms and the front door. The kitchen was a white and silver in colour. Tiles covered the walls and the counter tops were a silver marble colour. I looked for 2 mugs but found 2 already on the counter top. Untouched and with nothing in them.

They must be from this morning I thought to myself as I picked them up and started to create some drinks. A tea for me and a hot chocolate for Angel. I finished creating my tea and was beginning to make Angel’s hot chocolate. Angel came walking in.

‘Niall, what are you doing?’ Angel asked quietly.

‘Making you a hot chocolate....?’ I said but came towards more of a question.

Angel nodded her head and smiled. Her smile is beautiful. Angel walked away back into the lounge room. Her clothes not tattered or torn from being captured and kidnapped today. Which she was lucky for her. We were all lucky that we saved the girls. If we didn’t then we would be heart broken. But I smiled. I smiled because I’m glad that we now have them back. I finished making Angel’s hot chocolate and grabbed both the mugs. The scolding mugs didn’t burn me or my skin. I couldn’t feel the heat radiating off of the mugs. I walked into the lounge room that was conjoined onto the kitchen.

‘Here ya go’ I smiled as I handed Angel her hot chocolate.

‘Thank you.’ She smiled in reply. We then fell into a comfortable silence.

‘I heard from Cassie that you were talking about me.’ I started off breaking the silence that had filled the room. I looked down at my mug of tea.

Steam rising from within it. Angel nods her head and a blush started to cover her cheeks.

‘Yeah. I- I...’ She began to say but I placed mine and her cups down.

‘It’s okay Angel.’ I smiled and whispered quietly.

I leaned in and kissed her. Her eyes went wide with shock but then fluttered closed and started to kiss me back. The kiss was sweet and innocent. I licked at her bottom lip asking for entrance, to which she gave me. And the taste of hot chocolate engulfed my taste buds as I quickly darted my tongue into her mouth. Our lips moved in sync then we pulled away moments later. A deep crimson blush started to cover Angel’s cheeks.

‘Be mine?’ I asked quietly. I looked up from under my dark eyelashes and looked straight into her hazel green eyes. My blue ones boring into hers.

‘Yes.’ Angel nodded and replied with a whisper. She leaned back in and pecked me on the lips. I engulfed her in a hug. Her skin started to glow.
