I gasp as I reach them, even after slowing time.
"Kurt, y'allright?!"
Kurt looks up to me from the arms of Fisherman and nods slowly.
"Yes, everything should be fine..."
He chokes some water as he is put back on his feet rather roughly. I stare into Fisherman's eyes.
"Hey, be careful!"
Fisherman slowly turns his head down to me and raises one eyebrow. His deep voice begins to growl.
"I'm on a date, and guess what is not the best thing to happen when you nearly kiss your girl? Right, a guy that straightforward teleports next to you and nearly drowns."
I grin at him, not sure if angrily or happily myself.
"Yeah... The classic 'fuck, someone is drowning next to my romantic spot'-situation... So bad."
I shake my head and support Kurt with my left arm.
"At least you were able to play the hero directly in front of her, that's not bad for a first date!"
He starts to grin as well, a strange, fishy but nice grin.
"It wouldn't be, but you're wrong about the first date."
He turns around and slowly walks back into the lake when I see Blackwolf approaching from the right. He is nearly running like a wolf. Interesting.
I turn back towards Fisherman.
"Hey, who's the wet girl?"
He does not even look at me but laughs his dark chuckle as his head vanishes under the surface of the lake. Blackwolf arrives perfectly in time to see Kurt collapsing into my arms. I look at him, half angry, half amused.
"You're really one shitload of a teacher, aren't you? At least your student is not completely dead..."
Blackwolf's ears turn their pointy end downward and he blushes, at least in the regions of his face where his skin is visible. He looks like he wants to say something first, but apparently decides to just mutter something that sounds vaguely like:
"Sorry..."
Since I'm in a good mood for whatever reason I answer:
"You should better do..."
Then I grab Kurt and run away with him while slowing time. It really does feel good to be the one who treats the other ones the badass way.
