Chapter Sixty-Eight

Elena's POV

"I came as fast as I could," Calum says in a pant as he burst into my hospital room.

"Ugh, mom it hurts." I cry, squeezing onto her hand tighter.

She tucks my hair behind my ears. "Shh, it's gonna be okay. It'll be over soon." She tells me.

Calum comes to my side, grabbing my other hand. "Babe, I'm here." He kisses my forehead.

I glare up at him, "This is your fault." I cry as a sharp pain begins to form in my stomach.

"It's her hormones talking." My mother tells him quietly.

Zayn walks up to me with a wash cloth in hand, placing it over my hot forehead.

"There you go, love." He says, taking a step back as the doctors come through.

"Hello, Elena. How are you feeling?" Dr. Fields asks me.

"Just fine." I say sarcastically, trying to catch my breath.

He chuckles, "I can see that." He slips his gloves on and positions my legs up.

This is happening. This is actually happening.

"Alright, Elena, I'm gonna need you to give me a push." He says to me.

I push with as much force as possible, "It hurts, I can't." I groan, more tears falling from my eyes.

"C'mon you can do it, gimme another one." The Doctor tells me.

I push as hard as I can two more times. Calum squeezes my hand, telling me sweet things in my ear as he tries to calm me.

"One more, you can do it." The doctor urges. I deliver one more large push and relief washes over me and the sound of crying fills he room.

Dr. Fields hands my baby to the nurse next to him and she begins to clean her off.

A few minutes later she brings back my baby, "Would you like to cut the umbilical cord?" She asks Calum.

"Y-Yes." He nods, taking hold of the cutting tools and snipping it off.

The nurse wraps her up in the blanket and hands her gently to me.

"So, what have you chosen as a name for her?" The doctor asks Calum and I.

"Elizabeth." I say in a hush tone as I stroke my beautiful baby's cheek.

"What about a middle name, dear?" My mother asks.

"I like Marie," Calum says, a smile plastered on his face as he crouches down beside me to get a better look at our baby girl.

"Elizabeth Marie Hood." I say, finalizing her name.

"Such a beautiful name for a beautiful little girl." Zayn says, standing next to my mom.

I smile at him, I don't think I have ever been more happy. I have everything that I want..

"Do you wanna hold her?" I ask Calum. He nods and takes her from my arms, cradling her.

The way he looks at her brought tears to my eyes. He gazed at her in pure awe.

My family. I finally have gotten my family back, all of it. Calum, Elizabeth, my mom and Zayn. That's all I really need.

"Are you happy to be going home?" The nurse asks me as she makes the bed I had been sleeping in.
