Back at Camp, (the drive back had not been fun), Luke's head was in his hands, Percy was pacing the floor, and Chiron was in the fountain room sending Iris-messages to some of the minor gods.
I was trying very hard not to scream.
The first time I meet a god, it was all the major gods and a few minor gods on the way in and out of the throne room.
The first time I meet a god, and they basically say; "Oh yah, send some halfbloods and they're going to die because we can't lift a finger about our father escaping from Tartarus because he hasn't harmed the mortal world yet. Should be easy go do it yourselves."
Great first experience.
So I sat on the floor next to Luke, who was sitting at a chair at the pingpong table. My back against the side of his chair. My head leaning against his leg.
I decided to ask Percy a question through thoughts. I had a theory I wanted to test.
Answer this question in your head. I might be able to hear it. Ok, how long have you been at camp?
His head snapped up a little, he looked at me and then back to the floor. Questioning in his face. He closed his eyes in concentration.
Since sixth grade. I was twelve, so four years.
"It worked!" I nearly shouted.
Luke spazzed behind me and almost fell out of his chair. "Gods Melanie! A little warning next time! What worked?"
Percy answered for me. "She heard my thoughts."
"What?"
"I projected to Percy and asked him to answer a question and he did in his head and I heard him." I explained.
"That's really cool. What question?" Luke asked. He was obviously trying to distract himself from the problem.
"I asked him when he got here. Sixth grade. Wow." I nodded at Percy. I turned back to Luke. "When did you get here?"
He laughed at me. And shook his head. "It feels like not too long ago. But a really long time too. I got here when I was thirteen. I came here with Thalia. Grover brought us."
Percy spoke. "Grover brought me too. Was a student at my school for a year. Undercover."
"Chiron was undercover too? A teacher right?" Luke asked him.
Percy laughed. "Yah."
I smiled and laughed. They were finally talking to each other.
"See you guys can get along. Just takes the end of the world."
Luke put his hands on his knees and rolled his eyes. "Great."

The whole camp was called to the Amphitheater for a meeting. It was important, a quest had to be made because the gods couldn't do anything yet.
Sarcasm again.
The campers sat under their banners and as before, Thalia, Percy, and Nico sat at the front with Chiron. Luke and I sat with the Hermes cabin. He had insisted on sitting next to me at the aisle row incase we needed to go up.
I knew I would have to, I was the one with the vision anyways.
The fire was a dark purple and flecked with dark grey. Luke said that it changed colors according to the mood of the camp. I guesses that dark purple was nervous and scared. Meetings involving the whole camp after a visit to Olympus couldn't be a good thing. The dark gray had to be dread. That was probably from Chiron, Luke, me, and Percy. Probably Nico and Thalia too, Chiron had told them the situation earlier at the big house so they would be prepared to answer questions, or not answer certain questions.
