Chapter 6:What now Shawn?

Maya and Riley were having a sleepover at Maya's place that night to celebrate Maya coming home. Shawn was staying back at the Matthews place to keep Auggie and Topanga company while Cory was gone.

"I hate when Cory runs away and we don't know where he is." Topanga said. Auggie was half asleep on the couch by this point in the night. "And you think I don't?" Shawn started. "I'm worried sick right now ,Topanga, and you should be too."

Riley and Maya walked in the door because Riley forgot her bunny nightlight. "Did we interrupt something." Maya said. She always had the guts to stand up to adults.

Shawn and Topanga fell silent. [what do we say to them now!?] Shawn thought. "No girls, your fine. What's up?" Topanga said. She saw the worried look in Shawns eyes and covered for him. Shawn didn't want them to know the truth even though their 15 years old now. Not 5.

"I forgot my bunny nightlight." Riley said. Shawn looked even more confused. Now what does he say to that? He pondered for a second. "Riley,your 15 years old. You still have a bunny nightlight?" Shawn knew he messed up. Topanga gave him the look. The look he hated. The look he got when he messed up.

"Thank you! Finally!! I've been saying that for 4 years!" Maya said and broke the silence. The girls left and went back to Maya's place.

"So, about Cory again." Shawn started once again. There was a knock on the door. Topanga opened it. Hopeful it was Cory standing there. It was Farkle. "Hey supposed-to-be-my-mother." Farkle started. "Where's Riley. I want to give her her math book back."

"She's not here right now." Topanga said. She took the book and Farkle headed out. "Tell her I said thanks on such short notice." Farkle stated. "I will Farkle!" Topanga exclaimed. Shawn knew she was getting mad and decided it was best to go to bed. They put Auggie in bed but Shawn thought of something. So Shawn and Topanga sat down at 10:00 at night for one last talk
