Looking through my snapchats on a late Sunday afternoon is something I do quite often. A lot of people come on snapchat to observe other people's 'perfect' lives. Or to even document their own. I on the other hand come on here to save my streaks. Most teenagers, my age, on a Sunday would most probably be having fun and enjoying their lives before they have to go back to the hell hole known as school the very next day.
Ever heard the phrase "A Sunday well spent is a week in content"?
Well that's their motto.
On a Sunday I could be out with my friends, at the mall spending money on the 'got to have' Prada handbag that came out last week (mental rolling of the brown eyeballs). Or maybe I could be snuggled up on the couch watching movies. Or I could be with my boyfriend who most of the girls at school think is the 'hottest' most 'handsome' boy to ever cross their mascara hidden eyes.
My boyfriend and I could be kissing and cuddling, telling each other how much we mean to one another and how much we love each other.I could be doing that.
Actually on second thoughts I can't do any of that.
And I most probably won't.
One: I do have friends that invite me to go heaps of places with them. But I never can be bothered. All of my 'friends' are hypocrites anyway. They tell me that the trips to the mall won't be as fun without me or that I'll be missing out. Truth is they go without me every time and by the looks of it on snapchat they don't need me there anyway.
Two: Movies can be so boring. I normally fall asleep right near the end because most movies are so predictable these days. The boy tells the girl he likes her. They start dating. Turns out his mother is a dinosaur. The girl gets eaten by the Tyrannosaurus rex/ mother and dies. The boy is sad and lonely. And then he meets a princess.
You know, those kind of cliche stories? They are so predictable aren't they?
Okay, maybe not the whole mother being a dinosaur part but you never know. Anyway I would much rather read a book. As they say books are better than any movies.
And three: I can't be with my amazing boyfriend because frankly I don't have one. And I don't need one. As the girls would say #girlpower!(another mental eye roll, this time with a sigh).
No, i am not a widow and I will not be one of those old cat ladies that own about a gazillion cats and wear a t- shirt saying "Kats are lyfe", or because there are so many cats in the house that when I wash my clothes, instead of using washing powder I now use freshly, spewed cat hair balls, mixed with out of date milk. What I was meaning to say was that I have had boyfriends before. They may of been in middle school but I can assure you that they were loyal. One of mine actually gave me a gift on Valentine's Day.
