Chapter 8- Ronald Bloody McDonald
Chapter's song- Save Myself, Ed Sheeran

"In a sea of people, my eyes will always search for you"

Matilda

My smile had not left my face as the cars engine roared to life. The sound both thrilled and excited me.

Riley took off within seconds, making me hang onto my seat almost instantly. He quickly reversed out of the awkward angle he was parked at and put the mustang into gear.

He took off down the street and I held on for dear life.

"Slow down!" I shout over the blustering wind that is coming from the turned down car windows. Riley looks over at my fearful face and smirks smugly towards me.

He doesn't slow down, if anything he goes faster. I hang on tighter to the seat, if that's even possible.

As he drives my grip on the seat gets less and less unfluctuating and my heart rate starts to decrease. At last, I feel my chest lighten and the smile I had earlier is returned to my face. I scream out loud at the strangers that we pass, as we go down the main street. I feel care free for once, besides when I get blind drunk at parties.

I didn't tell Riley where my address was so I am not quite sure where we are going. I know for sure that I feel quite peckish. I would not mind a large pizza to devour by myself right now if i'm honest with you.

I look over at Riley who still has a smirk plastered on his face.

"If I knew you would nearly rip my leather seat covers and embarrass me down the main street, I wouldn't of invited you in my car." Riley joked, turning his godly made face towards mine. How can he not see me openly checking him out?

I smile sweetly at him, "Trust me, if I knew you were going to go that fast I wouldn't of gotten in the car either." I explain.

Riley seems like a good guy. If I met him randomly at a place and had a conversation with him I would never imagine him to be the guy he has been rumored to be. Just thinking about it makes me realise that whatever is happening right now, will never happen again- all the smiles, all the laughs and the car ride. It's all a one time thing.

He isn't this guy, he isn't what he is wanting me to believe. He's not a good guy at all, if anything he is supposed to be the bad guy, the one that does bad, terrible things.

Riley is a player, a chicken consumer, a murderer.

"So are you taking me home?" I ask Riley.

He turns towards me and instantly our eyes connect. As we stare at each other I see him weighing up different situations inside his head. But our eyes don't lose contact.

He coughs awkwardly and I jerk my head to the side and rub the side of my neck sheepishly.

"Well, I don't know about you, but I am bloody hungry, want to get something from Maccas before I take you home?"

I think about it for a while. It's not a good idea to be out with Riley and it's getting late.

"I'll pay." he suggests.

But then again, its Maccas, it's food and it's being paid for.

"Okay." I say. "But only because your paying and it wouldn't be nice to turn down free food."
